The jeers and not enough cheers in Turin 10:40am on 09 Mar 2009 I am another who agrees with most of the posts here.

Although I believe it can be debated whether an athlete who has taken drugs should ever be allowed back, the fact is the rules in place state that they can and that is a different debate. He is allowed to complete within the rules so therefore should be allowed to do so without this constant witch hunt.

There have been many athletes in this and other sports who have taken drugs and not received the same problems upon their return. As many have pointed out, at least he admits it, and more to the point admits that he was wrong. What about all those that have not been caught (another debate) and those who have taken drugs 'without knowing'??

I hope that the BBC, after seeing the strength of opinion about it's coverage of this issue over the weekend are going to give some kind of response?? However, I will not hold my breath.
The 2009 Formula One season on the BBC 3:31pm on 24 Feb 2009 Overall the planned coverage looks very comprehensive which is positive and an improvement on ITV's coverage which was far to brief.

Very disapointed that there will be no HD coverage though. Other countries will have it and in this day and age sporting events like F1 should be in HD, even if it was just the main feed.
English elite face Euro test 10:10pm on 12 Dec 2008 Nikos comments may seem very strange to all you guys on here, but don't worry, those of us who have been on the F1 board are used to his sometimes Racist, biased comments which make me smile just realising that someone can be so deluded!

I am by no means a Man U fan, in fact domestically I can't stand them, but to claim that they have no world class players is quite frankly laughable and shows a lack of any knowledge.

Vidic, Ferdinand and Ronaldo would get into any team in Europe. Rooney, Tevez, Berbatov etc all top, top players. I could go on.

Claiming half the Madrid team are world class is just as laughable. 'Van Gol' was, but he had his best years for Man U, Casillas looks great in Spain but he is not so hot on crosses and I would like to see him try to handle other leagues. Some of their other 'class' players have never proved anything as they can't stay fit for more than a couple of weeks. You only have to watch some of La Liga this year to see how far Barca are ahead to the rest and Madrid are a joke this season(hence the change of manager.... for a manager who failed in the premier league).

End of the day, No continental team beat a premier league team in the competition last year, and that says it all about the relative strengths of the teams.
