Tanni vs Phelps? 00:37am on 17 Aug 2008 Who actually cares about the paraolympics. How many ppl are young, in a wheelchair and have the facilities to train around a track. If everyone was in a wheelchair TGT probably wouldnt even make the county team never mind be the legend she is. How many ppl does TGT actually have to compete agaisnt. Everybody runs at school, you always know who the fastest kid was. In my school it was Michael Rimmer, whos currently running for us at this olympics. Bolt has 3billion men to beat to become the fastest man in the world, TGT probably has a few thousand who are lucky enough to have the facilities. Same goes for phelps, most of the world population can't swim. Redgrave too, how many ppl have tried his sport and he always had at least 1 person helping.
What makes Phelps so special? 3:02pm on 13 Aug 2008 Phelps is a fantastic athlete, no-one can deny it but he is not the greatest Olympic athlete of all time. Why? Because he is a swimmer and the majority of the world population don’t even know how to swim let alone have the facilities to train to his level. That’s why one athlete can be so supreme at that sport, because not that many people do it. You will never get a track athlete in this day and age that will dominate so much i.e. win all the track events because everybody runs and most countries around the world have track and field training facilities, so the best in the world, actually are the best in the world

The same goes for Tanni Grey Thompson, yes she has won lots of medals and holds a ridiculous amount of world records but how many people are wheelchair bound, young and have the facilities to train. If everyone was in a wheelchair Tanni probably wouldn’t have been good enough to make the UK team. Nor is it Steven Redgrave, best of the three but he had 3men helping for most and always at least 1.
The odd couple unveil new shoes 5:41pm on 07 Aug 2008 I also agree with willstorrie, Paulo 1st album was more than tepidly received. He is not a poor mans Morrison, he has only had one album give hime a break. Im sure the interview wasnt his idea. What the heck do you know about music anyway?

Its a strange paring and I can see why they felt uncomfortble but any interview iv seen with Usian Bolt he comes across as totally confused, and well simple.
