Cricket must seize day 09:28am on 06 May 2009 Maybe my memory is playing tricks but, until quite recently, the FA Cup Final was, I thought, on the first Saturday in May and the tourists first match at Arundel! As regards matches starting at 14.30, in line with Club & Village cricket, what nonsense. The difference is it is First Class Cricket! Also any other excuse to have the players in ill designed, in shape, material & colour, pyjamas should be fought off tooth & nail.

Ski Sunday returns 10:33am on 10 Jan 2009 It is good to see Ski Sunday back as a ski racing programme only. Last season I stopped watching as |I was annoyed that we were paying for the presenters junkets to all these exotic sites and which would only be relevant to a miniscule audience. High Altitude obviously keeps the junket going for the lads at great expense to the licence payer and still for a miniscule audience - a good one to miss!
Ask Bearders #181 11:51am on 06 Nov 2008 Q I believe that Scotland 'played' Ireland at Raeburn Place, Edinburgh in the 1960's when not a ball was bowled. I am not sure if they even tossed up! This match, I think, was debated when George Goddard came towards 100 caps as to whether it should count.
What's the most impressive sport? 6:13pm on 20 Aug 2008 The Olympic motto is 'Citius, Altius, Fortius' - 'Swifter, Higher, Stronger' and so any 'sport' requiring the opinions of judges to decide the winners has no place there. First past the post or furthest etc. is all that should apply antherefore the Olympics could be slimmed down by removing such nonsensities as Gymnastics, Synchronised smiling, Diving etc. which would also remove many points of contention.

Chambers controversy could help athletics 1:05pm on 15 Jul 2008 The rule which the ineffable Chambers is trying to overturn was in place when he cheated. Therefore he knew that if he got caught he would be thrown out of all Olympics. There can be no reprieve for such arrogant stupidity.
