Alcott ready to realise Olympics dream 2:55pm on 21 Oct 2009 Spot on #2 -- though it's the same with a lot of British sports. Perhaps the growth of British younsters in (women's) tennis may come to prove that some 'upper class' sports are realising to encourage wider participation.

I guess it's blind faith -- a bit like Spurs or Everton thinking they'll make 4th, or the mighty Norwich winning the Milk Cup again... ;-)
England doesn't expect 08:33am on 09 Sep 2008 It was all downhill after 1990 -- and even then there was still a large hill to climb to be world-beaters.
England must raise game in Zagreb 3:10pm on 08 Sep 2008 We're slowly losing the Hello! culture (it had to go drop after 2006) -- however, we still need one my kick to kill it in the England team; like a thrashing by Croatia and, down the road, a failure to make 2010.
