What did you think of the One show? Guest: Les Dennis 01:49am on 15 Jul 2009 Thought the show was good. Nice to see Les on the TV again. He looks a happy man and I found his story very interesting. Thanks to Les for sharing.

I would like to make a point about a certain 'online' newspaper which has a picture of Adrian and Christine - the picture appears to have been altered.
If you look at Adrian's feet, he's standing very peculiar!

Nothing should be taken for granted 5:12pm on 16 Mar 2009 I agree that there is a signal from David Cameron. It's called common sense.
It was stated recently that advertising on ITV was down, and I'm glad Mr Cameron has kept his finger on the pulse.
The ball is in the BBC court now.
As for his spending plans, Mr Cameron is going to have to apply more same common sense, and he'll have to be careful in his timing of announcements, or the government will take his party ideas and make them their own!
That goes for the Libs too!
It's business as usual 03:19am on 17 Dec 2008 Although I believe the Royal Mail could have saved millions over the years by simply examining the costly differences between 1st class and 2nd class mail (go on, work it out!) I feel that Mr Mandelson's announcement is not good for the Royal Mail.

Here's a lighter note thought. What will Mr Mandelson be known as next?
He's had many nicknames over the years, other than the obvious "Mandy". There was the affectionate "Prince of Darkness", the "Spindoctor" and "Lord Mandelson of Rio", "The Notting Hill Loaner", "Sinister Dome Minister", and in his own words the "Secretary of State for Ireland". I doubt that "The fighter", "The Milk Man" or "Maserati Man" is appropriate…and "Voldemolt" does indeed have the right kind of ring to it!
Perhaps "Mandelsky" will serve a better tag in the future, or maybe even "The Stamp Licker" which is my current favourite!
Election fever 2:36pm on 16 Dec 2008 I hope they hurry up and decide if an election is going ahead. The way the pound is going, we soon won't be able to afford to vote!
Sergeant quits Strictly! Has he done the right thing? 8:34pm on 19 Nov 2008 I believe John Sergeant's wife will be very proud of his achievements. His decision to step down from the show is undoubtedly the right decision because John made it, nobody else did!

In my opinion, John and his very talented instructor demonstrated how what could only be perceived as the 'impossible' - possible, which is a kind of small victory against the political correct brigade.

Whilst John may have been considered the 'laugh' entrant of the contest, the 'laugh' very nearly backfired on the BBC.

'Strictly Come Dancing' should not just be about ratings, it should be about entertainment.
John Sergeant was one of the shows most entertaining dancers and I do hope we have the opportunity of seeing his wonderful instructor Kristina again before the series finale because she deserves it.

Maybe John should be considered as an extra 'Judge' in the future. I'm sure his comments will not be too personal and of course very, very professional.
Hands on with vintage gaming 09:14am on 16 Jul 2008 I'll never forget the first time I ever played Star Wars in the arcades. Excellent!
And the first thing I did when I got home (having spent all my money in Southend) was look the game up for the C64 home computer! I had a bit of a wait!
When it did get released, it was no where near the same as the arcade version playability wise...but I thought it was cool. The Amiga version had improvements, but still, not as good as the original arcade machine, eh?!
Arcade games and even 8 bit Computer games to an extent are the 'toys' of my generation, as Pinball probably was to my fathers!
I wouldn't mind an arcade machine at home. It would be fun!
