Owen worth Man Utd gamble 10:11am on 03 Jul 2009 This is a very big gamble for united with hint of desperation. Am sorry Phil but no matter how much you try and sell Owen the guy is past it and he will just be another flop. Harsh ? maybe but any striker will surley once in a while find the net at United with the chances they make. The nagging thing for me is that defenders today are whole new monster and Owen for all his PAST!!!! goal scoring talents will find that what he was has indeed come and gone and it aint coming back. Sorry.
Brilliant Barcelona outclass Man Utd 09:20am on 29 May 2009 l dont get this whole idea of people claiming Fletcher would have made a difference or Hergreaves for that matter. All we have heard this season is the strength in depth united have, so why is it when one player is missing that depth ceases to exist. In my opinion neither of the missing players would have made a difference Barcelona outplayed United and bossed the midfield, as for tactics only Fergie will know why he did what he did afterall he has been n the game long enough. His arrogance in stating at the press conference when asked about the white stripe they wore, in relation to the way R.Madrid where humbled he sayed 'we are better than Madrid' well that did not change the fact that Barca were better than united.

United may be a good team but as we have found out you are as good as your last game (l know ....such a cliche) they were owned end of.
England still need Owen 1:46pm on 30 Mar 2009 Owen is living of reputation and has not really performed to satisfy his inclusion into the England squad. l think its time we accepted that his over and he is more likely to win at Ascot and not at Wembley. People change, so do circumstances and Owen for all the good he has done cannot in all honesty belive his performance, or lack of, warrants him a place in the squad.
Arsenal guarded over financial figures 2:56pm on 19 Sep 2008 Arsenal like to keep things close to their chest, who knows maybe the trumpeting that Edelman did got him shoved out. Anyway there are obviously things they would rather not make the light of day, and will not tell, who doesnt?
