The Revisitations of Doctor Kermode 5:55pm on 13 Oct 2009 Well for me it would have to be Memento (Loved it the first time and my fav film of all time).
It's a film that for me changes (in terms of charachter and their motivations) everytime I watch it.
It's one of those films that I spot something new everytime I watch it, due to the brilliant use of Non-Linear story telling by Christopher Nolan.

I also enjoyed Waterworld, which I think got a lot of backlash because of Dances with Wolves winning best picture(not Goodfellas).
I couldn't say looking back it's a classic but I think it's watchable and is not the worse film I have seen.

The Tarantino Continuum 6:26pm on 25 Aug 2009 I think this "moving on" element to deciding if a film is good or not is unfair to be honest.
When I go into a theatre to watch a film, I judge a film as a film. Not if the director has learnt new tricks with the camera.
Fair enough with someone like Michael Bay who clearly hasn't improved but at the end of the day Tarrintino's are enjoyable (except Death Proof)

If I went in there with the mentality of "moving on", then I would give loads more films negative reviews.
The Pirate of Cropredy 8:08pm on 18 Aug 2009 But Mark, Johnny Depp signed on to Pirates 4 before Gilliam announced he was gonna make Don Quiote.
Gilliam has been saying for ages he wants to make it, but funding has been an issue.
I'm sure if had to choose, he would choose Gilliam.
The Boorman/Tarantino Nexus 5:11pm on 14 Aug 2009 I don't understand why people have problems with Tarrintino's films. He doesn’t release a film every year like Ridley Scott and his films like Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction are fantastic. Like the Superman speech in Kill Bill and the Royal with cheese in Pulp Fiction.

I think the music he chooses in his films are genius as well, especially in Pulp Fiction, which he doesn’t have to place there, unlike Guy Ritchie who relies heavily on the soundtrack on his films.

I think the dialogue in other films is even more unnatural, most of the times just used to move the plot along or remind the audience what is going on.

The only film that he’s made that is awful is Death Proof, but I think there are much worse things in cinema than the dialogue in Tarrintino’s films.

I would buy the DVD lol.
John Boorman: an exorcism 6:46pm on 04 Aug 2009 Those pics of Sean Connery made me burst out laughing. But I'm sorry Mark I had to turn off the first Exorcist film, I found it totally boring.
Maybe Michael Bay could re make it and we have plenty of over the top explosions, noise and Megan Fox.
Well worth paying the 20 million directors fee for him.
