Life in the old dogs yet 07:43am on 31 Aug 2009 Rooney started going down and then Almunia made contact. So would you not say the dive was the first offence meaning an Arsenal freekick, but then both should be booked?

Put another way, if in the middle of the field there were two fouls very quickly after one another, the ref would award a freekick against the team who committed the first one and then possibly punish the other team's player with yellow.

For those doubting Monye's defence, did you not see the excellent try preventing sprint and tackle on Evans (a player commentators had claimed was the fastest on the pitch)in the 6N? I have a sneaky feeling Monye's presence on the tour (and in the Test team) is in order to counter the pace of Habana.
Benitez continues defiant approach 12:23pm on 11 Jan 2009 Sounds very Keegan-like to me from Rafa- though even he waited until nearer the end of the season to sound the death knell on his team's title chances by rising to Ferguson's bait. Ferguson is a master of the mindgames and only Wenger seems able to compete (shame he hasn't had an able or consistent enough squad to back him up these last few years.) Mourinho knew this and flat out avoided the mindgames by befriending Sir Alex during his title winning years (of course the millions at his disposal didn't hinder him either.)
Platini basks in Euro success 3:15pm on 29 Jun 2008 Never have I read such a large proportion of posts with such a miserable outlook on life. This has been a great tournament full of exciting matches and teams, for the most part, trying to play good football.

I think everyone needs to lighten up, stop reading the Daily Mail and enjoy the spectacle we are about to witness tonight. If its anything like what's gone before in this tournament then we're in for a treat!
