England cannot replace Rooney 06:45am on 14 Oct 2009 I can't understand this hype about Rooney. I guess everybody must have forgotten 2006 world cup. I see very little sign of improvement on his behavior.

How could you forget players like Ronaldo who knew Rooney's behavior manipulated to get him red carded. Personally I have very little confidence on Rooney particularly when it comes to knock out stage. I prefer Owen, crouch, Defoe or Bent.

3 extra minutes were added for rest 4 minutes of extra time and you call it fair

Fact is you will never seen 2-3 minutes extra being played unless somebody is seriously injured and in stretcher.
Capello can plot World Cup glory 10:07am on 10 Sep 2009 Last week England struggled to beat Slovenia. It needed an atrocious decision by referee to help England win the match. So I find it difficult how England can beat likes of Spain, Italy, Brazil and Germany. I would love to see England win the world cup but I would not put them as a favorites.
Owen worth Man Utd gamble 5:45pm on 04 Jul 2009 Even though I am a liverpool supporter I am very happy for him and hope he becomes top scorer for Man U and help them secure second or third position in premiere league next season.

I am more deligted by the fact that he may finally be included in the england squad for the next world cup. I believe he is a better player than Rooney. I would love to see him play for England. World cup is the most important footballing event next year.

Tune in for the Women's World Cup final 4:32pm on 19 Mar 2009 I could not believe how Women's cricket has improved. I used to think Women only scores about 140-150 runs playing whole 50 overs. But that trend certainly have changed. I will definitely watch the final.

You can't compare test averages with the number of wins. The better comparision will be Bradmans test average with Michael Phelps speed. Bradman's average is significantly higher than any other batsman ever.

However, in case of Phelps his speed is only marginally better than other swimmers.

During the match between spain and Sweden when the ball was about to be out passing the swedish goal post. But one player of spain slides and brings it back to prevents it from getting out. While sliding that spanish player gets out of the line. The returned ball is then shot by another Spanish player to the goal post. However, no offside was given. If the shot had gone inside the post then it would have bring another debate because one of the spainish player was behind the goal line of sweden so if panucci can be considered an active player then even that spanish player should have been considered active.

Fortunately, for UEFA the stricker fails to score. Otherwise UEFA would have a lot trouble justifying the offside decision not given to panucci.
