My Street View of shame... 2:18pm on 22 Mar 2009 I don't know how you can question the usefulness of this. I frequently send people links to try and describe how to find a place. For them to be able to go down to street level and look at a junction or entrance to a building is incredibly useful. I used it yesterday to find the location of a party I was taking my daughter to.

What about house hunting? Looking to move to a new area - just cruse up and down in Street View first - we have already used it for this and we aren't even actively house hunting...
Can the Mac catch a cold? 5:20pm on 02 Dec 2008 Can't you find a security expert who doesn't work for an anti virus firm. We can all predict what these guys will say and they are marched out whenever this topic is mentioned. How about some one different?

I am a Mac user but I recently ran a PC for a couple of years without anti virus software - but then I was very careful and used a hardware firewall.
London bans plastic water bottles 5:04pm on 28 Aug 2008 Shopping malls and all these pseudo public spaces that are taking over our cities should be forced by law to provide drinking fountains in a prominent place. It is the most basic service to the society they rely on for their business. I am fed up with carrying a water bottle for my children. Your are more likely to find a defibrillator than a tap! Where is the petition for me to sign?

But seriously isn't all this integration stuff too complicated - quite frankly I can't be bothered and I don't believe the majority of people will be bothered either. I'd rather have every devices as a thin client to the web so I don't have to think about where things are located or how or when to back them up. Google or Apple do that for my email and I increasingly pay some one else to run project management software, database software, virtual servers etc etc. Really all I need is a portable browser profile and Google or Apple supply that for Firefox and Safari respectively (I am sure MS do it for IE somewhere down the line).
