Taxis extend a very Mumbai welcome 10:16am on 11 Nov 2008 Alison, I haven't been to India for around eight years now but I see what you mean about the smell. It is so distinctive!

However, the reason why I am writing is because of some really chilidish comments on the article. People saying how you need to go around the world more often and how the image you present is 1950s!

What's wrong with these blind people? If you look at few videos of the developed India, it doesn't mean that's the whole picture. Large chunks of India are filled with poverty and rather than denying it, one has to accept it if there is ever going to be a change.

I thought the article was very good and just talked about her experience. If you don't like it, then don't read it!

No one is forcing you to are they? I really appericiate what the England players did because for those kids seeing some of the world's biggest stars makes a lot more difference than an average British guy.

People like Kash or whatever that rubbish name was need to start making use of their cerebral hemispheres before making such absurd comments!

Hope you have a gr8 tour in India Alison and look forward to a very good series!
Tendulkar marks his true greatness 6:29pm on 17 Oct 2008 Congrats Sachin! To play for nearly two decades now with the same humility and desire to succeed is phenomenal.

I really hope he carries on playing and stays away from injuries for a while so that I can see a lot more of this little genius!
India's interest in Test cricket fading 12:42pm on 16 Oct 2008 I follow Indian cricket and this situation is nothing new and nor is it a 'blip'.

You see empty stands in most Indian Test matches and tbh nobody even cares about it unless india loses...

ODIs and T20 are the only forms that seems to interest the fans...

It is a 'shame' as Test for me anyway is the best form of cricket where great batsmen and bowlers are discovered. I don't think the situation will change tbh as this has been going on for a long period of time and if anything it seems to be getting worse...

Unless India some how becomes the No. 1 team in the world, I don't see the numbers increasing what-so-ever...
India's Dad's Army must prove the doubters wrong 09:21am on 08 Oct 2008 Ganguly should go... but as for Tendulkar, he is till classsss.... Agaist the Aussies in Tests and ODIs he was brilliant!

And against the Lankans, name me one player except Sehwag who did play well...

Sachin was extremely unlucky as he never struggled against the spin of Mendis or Murali- but 'kept finding ways to get out' as Boycott described as he did deem in 'fine form'...

The problem is, people like Oliver Brett don't watch the matches but just look at the scores in the end and just make such outrageous articles... If you saw it you would have realised that there were only two players seemed as if they could play mendis- sehwag and tendulkar...

But Lankans kept defensive fields to Tendulkar and bowled on one side of the wicket- and he just kept getting frustrated and gave his wicket away... But one must remember he just cameback from another injury!

People need to watch more before making comments... seriously!
