The heat, the Ashes, the petrol and sweat 8:22pm on 23 Aug 2009 The BBC F1 coverage really is streets ahead of what preceded it and you're doing a top job Jake, loving the blogs. Hamilton might be a bit disappointed, but I think he'll look and realise that being disappointed with second is a massive improvement to being lapped by Button and taking on the Force India's. I just wonder if Button, with no consistent challenger, will need that many more points to win the championship with only 6 races left.
Motorhomes, sliding doors and wild Spanish applause 7:16pm on 10 May 2009 The online coverage is just so far ahead of what preceded it it's unreal, congratulations to the BBC for that. It's great for Jenson Button, he seems like a nice guy and must have thought he was never going to get a chance. A really interesting time for the BBC to get the coverage, looks there will all sorts of change over the next few seasons. One thing's for sure, whoever interviewed Lewis Hamilton must have felt a few chills, there was an unhappy young man not enjoying his season. Really enjoying the coverage, you've taken the best parts of ITV (basically Martin Bundle) and made it much more human and less stuffy, lots more interaction, articles etc. Good stuff Jake, keep it up.

Liverpool may fall short in title tilt 1:21pm on 15 Aug 2008 Why oh why do Liverpool never spend any money on wingers which they so desperately need, yet waste time and money buying more and more central midfielders. Alonso, Mascherano, Gerrard - if there's one position Liverpool can match Chelsea and Manchester United it's there. Yet on the wings, they have Pennant and Kuyt, United have Ronaldo and Nani. It's not hard to spot the problem, imagine what Torres could do if he had Beckham quality service from the wings?
