Adebayor madness mars Man City win 4:01pm on 13 Sep 2009 All very OTT. I've seen much worse. So he celebrated and wound up fans who gave him hassle even when he played for them. Big deal.

When your team scores half the fans celebrate towards the player, the other half towards the opposition.

We're all big boys. The fans who can afford tickets for these games are certainly a very different beed to the working class who used to go to these games and a wind up was all part of the game.

As for it "kicking off" ... do you mean a duel at 12 noon? Or a spelling contest?

If a Rangers player scored (use your imagination) and celebrated in front of the Celtic fans i wouldn't be very happy about it but that's the game and to take that away only dilutes the atmosphere (even worse you can be booked for going to your OWN fans these days).
Basile exit sparks change of direction for Argentina 3:16pm on 18 Oct 2008 I think Chile deserve a bit of a mention (kind of reminds me of when Scotland beat France and all the headlines were about England's problems). Paraguay too (but I am biased towards Chile).

Sure Argentina got rid of their coach but how good were Chile?!

Would i be wrong to suggest that the South American qualifiers are among the best balanced and trickiest to emerge from? So we have 4+1 going through - we know Brazil and Argentina will, but will Paraguay maintain their form? Is there a reason they are playing so well just now that may "let up" halfway through qualification?
