I believe Ivory Coast will finish second in their group, Spain first. They will clash in the later rounds, and I'd put money on Torres and Fabregas going to the Drogs in SA. As great as Spain are, I doubt they will win the WC this year.

Personally I'm not so sure he should make the 23, but then like everyone else his performances until May will dictate that.

However, I would still like to see him involved, particularly since the 2018 bidding process will be important then, and he has valuable experience to hand down to players in the squad.

Could he not join the coaching squad if Capello were not to invite him into the 23?
The fine tuning of pre-season 00:17am on 02 Jul 2009 It should be one game a month I imagine and hopefully a couple of months nailed down at a time, so that the interesting matches are shown.

What would be truly brilliant, would be BBC getting similar rights to lower league games and possibly the Premiership - but I suppose there would have to be some legal work to make it all happen (since BBC/other free to view channels) couldn't possibly pay what the leagues demand.

Equally the most interesting thing is when you play certain teams. For Stoke, certainly, I bet they are much happier facing the top 4 early on than late into the season (though their last three fixtures are a tough one).

So Robbo, which is it? are you converting to focusing on the neighbours in the PL or are your blogs going to be about the Fizzy Pop championship and dour Southgate on the way relegating your side back to where they were when Gibson took over?
Condoms or family meals? 9:12pm on 26 Mar 2009 I understand and see the magnitude of dilemma posed of contraceptives, abortion in sexual ethics. It is a difficult question and I can't say it is always right to be fully against abortion/contraception or conversely, advocate an anything goes policy.

I have to point out an inaccuracy in the article.

Adam Brookes (your editor), wrote:

A quick search on Google to the REAL AIP website (http://www.akip.org) shows that she was in fact NOT a part of the party, but her husband Todd, was and attended a convention in the 1990s.

I watched the CNN broadcast of the convention, and they had made this fact abundantly clear. Thus, wouldn't a better question be to ask:

Though she was wrongly accused of being part of the AIP, though her husband indeed was, does this impact her political outlook and agenda in the vice-presidency?

I am very interested into whether there is indeed any significance of this, could her husband's political allegiances influence her political agenda?

In my opinion, the very idea (or if it were fact) that she was part of the AIP, would have surely rendered her out of the equation for the vice-presidency, even for a "maverick" administration proposed by John McCain.

I very much love reading your blogs Justin - you are one of my inspirations, like Alistair Cooke and Bill Bryson - I would love to know what your views on this are.
