Boxed in 10:09pm on 05 Nov 2009 The investment banks have been making profits by transferring money from one arm of the Government to another. The fact the new money is being laundered back to the Government via the investment banks does not change the economic reality of this process. the Bank of England is financing the Government’s debt needs via printing money in the manner of the Weimar Republic and Zimbabwe...... Someone just appeared on "the World tonight" saying easing is working as the stock market is up 50%.... and he was supposed to be an "expert"!
Let me mark your card with a sceptical pen 4:44pm on 05 Nov 2009 Regarding the Lisbon treaty...what a wonderful exercise in democracy...Do we elect the EU commissioners? No.. Do we elect the new EU president? No ..yes, that special new kind of democracy where something goes ahead after the citizens of three countries explicitly vote against it and are ignored, where the citizens of 23 countries get no vote at all, and only 2 countries vote yes.
'Positive action', not 'positive discrimination' 1:16pm on 20 Oct 2009 Mr Cameron disappoints me once again....stop pandering to the politically correct and select on only one criteria...merit! If the present crop of women in parliament...jacqui smith, harriet harman, yvette cooper estelle morris, tessa jowell and not forgetting glynis kinnock (oh what happened to her, only lasted long enough to get a seat in the Lords and is then replaced!)are anything to go by, women have not exactly been the cream of MPs.
Asset sale: Deja vu? 1:33pm on 12 Oct 2009 yes sell at the bottom of the market, normal behaviour for GB... what stupidity...are they even his to sell? National assets surely belong to the UK citizens and as such surely their permission should be obtained (perhaps by way of an election?) before any sale takes place...selling the family silver during a recession is just yet another dumb idea from a bankrupt government!
and just for a laugh let's forecast 3% growth..what planet is he on? according to the IMF Annual UK growth rates averaged 2.68% between 1992-2007 .....and they were the "boom" years!
Cameron's very personal plea 5:00pm on 08 Oct 2009 I have to say, seeing the two speeches side by side, the choice for a floating voter would not be difficult (and it is only the floaters that count).. A dour, sulking negative GB or a bright, confident positive DC... no brainer!

Pressure for a UK vote 12:24pm on 06 Oct 2009 I am not sure what the problem is...surely the EU will ask the Irish to "vote again" as they did last time, and the Irish will see the error of their ways and vote no..end of lisbon treaty......!
Microsoft: 'No bounce' 2:46pm on 05 Oct 2009 The stock market has never been a good guide as to the state of the economy..they are no different to the punters down at the betting shop they all think they are on a winner but in reality they have little idea.... more important is what happens when quantitative easing draws to a close and when the oil price starts to rise...
Brown agrees to debate 1:51pm on 03 Oct 2009 As with all gordon brown's announcements the devil is in the detail..and there are so many ifs and buts that you can be sure it will not happen.. he is only trying to make it look like he is not avoiding making a decision...
BAE: Can't pay, would like to pay 08:54am on 01 Oct 2009 There is a thin line between "bribery" which is illegal and "paying commission" which is legal...in some countries it is impossible to do business without such payments and the UK is shooting itself in the foot, i dont see any German or French companies suffering this fate....
