Why there may be no more Machedas 1:00pm on 09 Apr 2009 Lazio would probably have kept Macheda if they had been prepared to pay him a reasonable wage. Their policy is to pay young players at the club youth rate whether or not they play for the first team. That strikes me as most unfair and dishonest so who can blame the player and his family for wanting a lot better. The fault was with Lazio so hopefully the rules won't be changed to allow them and other clubs to exploit youg players.
The war on drugs 12:16pm on 30 Jul 2008 There is no deterrent to stop people dealing in drugs. We should adopt much more severe punishments for dealers instead of the normal slap on the wrist. How about a lowest sentence of ten years in prison for dealers and work up from there. What right minded person would complain about introducing the Malaysian and Chinese punishment for major traffickers which ensures that they don't repeat offend because they are dead.
