Propaganda war 4:25pm on 22 Aug 2008 I beleive BBC was (and for that matter CNN) etc were unbelievabally biased covering this war. Bridget Kendall tried ito nfuse some balance but I think later she also "toe" the "line". Only "The Independent" which I was signed into had a fair coverage reviewing both sides. Reading BBC, Sky and CNN was alrming as they constantly pointed that Russia the Agressor attacking civilised west. No mention of Western breaches of international law by invading Iraq, Serbia etc. Some Serbians still are refugees while Muslims and Croatians settled. KLA (KOSOVA) with the help of Americans throw lot of Serbians out and never allowed them back. Guardian and Independent seems more fair to these people as same as to Ossetians. I am thinking twice now when read or see BBC coverages these days. Surely Georgains as much should take the blame as Russians and that was ignored with the bias coverage including newsnight.

Asylum debate 11:36am on 29 Jul 2008 Thanks Nick Brayant for the input. I think New Rudd government is going on the right path. I have many friends immigrated to Australia as Skilled Immigrants - Doctors, Engineers, Acccountants etc. Most of them are Asiana. However I doubt White Australians and New Brown /Black , East European immigrants (new Skilled Immigrants came through point system) claim to Australian land. Except Native Aborigines all the rest are immigrants and among them White Australians are really Illegal Immigrants came with guns. They then kidnapped local Aboriginal children allegedly to civilize them - in reality lot of abuses committed , parents lost their children and coimmunity destryoed. It ois very humane act on the part of PM Rudd to Apologise for that.- So the question is - How ethical "NEW AUSTRALIANS" cliam for the Australian land? Vietnam refugees or Sri lankan Refugees or any boat people have the same rights as those Asutralians and new Immigrants who settled illegaly in Australia??? - (Well same for Canada, new Zealand and USA too)
