Haye does what he has to do 10:13am on 08 Nov 2009 I have to admit that i was one of the doubters, i thought that Valuev would take Haye to the cleaners. After watching the fight i have a new found respect for Haye's boxing abilities, i thought that Haye was by far and away the better boxer and he showed an amazing amount of patience. He is the deserved World heavyweight champion.

I think that there were a few dodgy decisions that went the Aussies way in Englands first innings. Swings and rounabouts. The dodgy decisions have evened out over the course of this series.

Player of the series? Whatever happens in this series i feel that North has to be named as POTS. He has been amazing, totally under-rated and nobody expected anything from him but he has shown that he is the future of Aussie cricket.

I have said since the first test that Broad should be persevered with, he was low on confidence but that fine knock of 55 at Edgebaston returned his confidence and he has been Englands best player since.

England are in a great position and i feel that its their test to lose from here.

There is also a lot of talk about this being Flintoff's last test but this test could also signal the end of one of the greatest batsmen of our times careers in Ricky Ponting. Even as an England fan i have admired his performances for years.

Unfortunately your blog has gone down the same road as those of Phil McNulty's and have become 1 long pre-mod. This has totally ruined what i thought was a great blog which would have been open to a great debate and discouraged posters.

Bloodgate brings Deano down 6:30pm on 18 Aug 2009 Even though it is a common occurance i dont feel that its good for the game. That said i stand by my belief that Richards ban is very over the top. I dont believe for one second that there is any coach or player not guilty of faining an injury to get an advantage. How will it be governed and what punishments will be handed out?
Lets face it with the amount of money that is in rugby at this time cheating will become more rife.

Bloodgate brings Deano down 5:19pm on 18 Aug 2009 When i used to play rugby, all those years ago, it wasnt unheard of biting your own lip to get a few minutes on the sideline. Granted its getting worse but i feel that Richards ban is well over the top.

The bigger picture is, the money that is now involved in rugby . With the cost of high earning tournements at stake, players and training staff are feeling more pressured to make these decisions.
England v Australia Fourth Test player ratings 6:07pm on 09 Aug 2009 I actually think that Jimmy Anderson did do his job. He was clearly injured but still bowled thus reducing the workload for his fellow bowlers. If Jimmy didnt bowl those overs then the other bowlers would run the risk of being overbowled or Colly and Bopara would of had to bowl more and they might have been carted all over the place.

The biggest plus for me from this test was that Broad has regained his confidence and is starting to show some good form.
Broad's Ashes spot no longer secure 10:51am on 04 Aug 2009 England are trying to win a series here and at 1-0 up i personally feel that runs is the highest priority. These two teams are actually very evenly matched and will both go for the big runs.
If England Drop Broad they could lose some very important lower order runs.

Sidebottom stands a good chance of getting wickets but only comes in to replace Flintoff (if he is unfit) or Swann (due to pitch conditions. Otherwise dont change a thing.
