Biden the (mostly) well-behaved 04:19am on 17 Feb 2009 The American people don't do well with a debate of different ideas..they have had very little experience with the give and take of ideas in their educational experience or public forums such as clubs, civic meetings, etc. Most people are greatly threatened when they sense any type of confrontation. A gaffe doesn't hurt a thing if it encourages people to think. .. .
Obama confuses his enemies 9:28pm on 31 Jan 2009 I suggest President Bohama's method of presenting and promoting is the opposite of confusion because it is clear and truthful and the old way of dealing with legislation has no place in this new administration.
The politicians who are confused are the "old dinosaurs" whose priorities are promised to the lobbyists and the old order.l..

George Bush is a perfect example of no real life experience where he was required to live with his choices as a child and young adult. He was "bailed out" when mistakes were made and he continued in this pattern for the presidency. This is all he knows. President Obama has had a lifetime of preparation for adult leadership if you analyze his biography. This quality gives him great empathy for Americans and all the citizens of the world because he was one of us. We are doubly blessed with this brilliant leader because he also possesses a keen analytic generalists mind that is intelligent enough to call in experts so as to obtain all the information available resulting in firm workable solutions.

He knew that Obama had voted against his nomination to the Supreme Court. For an official who is exposed to countless ceremonies, it was most irresponsible not to have been prepared with a note card containing these most important lines even though he felt he had it memorized. In other words, his part in the inauguration was "the inauguration" for the nation and his lines were the center of the celebration. It was time for him to throw away childish things and be sure it was done correctly by this public servant, , ,

The changing face of the presidency 8:27pm on 19 Jan 2009 Obama knows who he is and understands his "character center". That is why his leadership appeals to a broad range of people. He is authentic and has built in integrity stabilized with an indomitable spirit that captures the best in his supporters. This will be the most active electorate in the history of our nation because we have elected a leader who listens. No more of "this will be off the table" decrees by the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi. . . . she is surrounded with an empowered electorate now who will practice their democratic rights on a daily basis. Before we can move on, it is necessary to recognize the legal and moral transgressions of our Constitution by the past administration with no censoring by Congress.
As the leading democracy in the world, we cannot allow our Constitution to be gradually chipped away by an administration that was not checked by Congress in the form of Preemptory Strike powers, the Patriot Act, civilian wiretapping, torture etc.
Obama's administration/leadership has a mandate from the people to bring everything to the table for consideration.

The statement, "We don't have an empire" and we have not made an attempt at a "far flung empire", etc.
The Pre-emptive Strike Resolution given solely to President Bush for what we now know was granted under false information provided by the administration, was an overt attempt at empire building. We have spent enough money in this "occupation" to bankrupt our Treasury and, unknown to the majority of the American citizens have constructed the largest most expensive Embassy compound in the world in Baghdad.
Restless America 02:51am on 10 Jan 2009 I think we Americans all have the genes of the pioneers who courageously pushed West and North, South and East whenever they had hopes and dreams of a better life. We have always known that we have choices and our curiosity provides the impetus to get us on our way. This trait is the most important factor that will give us the "oomph" to tackle the current daunting challenges in every facet of our society that we will meet with firm resolution. We are a vast nation and our greatest resource is our people who have the core survival skills to bob and weave ourselves into another fundamental form that insures a unique personal success for everyone. Americans have spirit and spunk and they will prevail.

The judgment is clear and true in this sector of our population. A return to morality and genuine caring for one another's needs. Compassion and moderation is alive and well in our new President. A relief to return to a citizen led civilized government with military restraints. . .
