Actually it's precisely people like you who would write in to complain about the spelling in the first place, or to demand to know why it had been changed arbitrarily without letting anyone know.

"Learning To Talk": Ask A Question 2:08pm on 10 Jul 2008 I do love the BBC Blogs but sometimes I can't help but feel that a lot of them are written to answer viewers' concerns, but they never actually DO answer them. They merely toe the corporate line and provide no more information beyond that which we already knew.

What I would like to see is the people who write these blogs READING the comments posted by users thereafter and responding to them after a week or so.

If you want to be truly interactive then there's no point just using the blogs as propaganda. Take the opportunity to engage with your audience.
Is Amy porn? 1:16pm on 03 Jul 2008 People are so interested in celebrities because the MEDIA generated that interest, in the same way the media controls the public interest in every other story. If you devote column inches to something then people will take notice.
Controversy and conspiracies III 12:38pm on 02 Jul 2008 The two most basic commonsense question that the conspiracy theorists have never provided an answer to are:

1) If this really was a government plot, then why has NOBODY involved (of which there would be hundreds) come forward and said anything? And how on earth would all these people have been persuaded to be part of mass slaughter of their own people in the first place?

2) If, as people claim, the whole point was to justify Bush's desire for war, then why not just knock ONE tower down? It would've had the same effect on public opinion

It really frustrates me that my fellow man could be so incredibly blinkered in their desire to believe in something.
Consistency v accuracy 2:53pm on 14 Jun 2008 The BBC News website weather forecast for London is never accurate. I've been sat in 3 hours of pouring rain before, looking at your forecast telling me that it's supposed to be sunshine. At your temperature forecasts are so wildly inaccurate that I've given up relying on there.
Irish No sparks EU crisis 4:04pm on 13 Jun 2008 I do sometimes wonder how much of this is actually to do with benefiting the member states, and how much is simply for the sake of it.

People inherently distrust the EU machine. This is why we throw our arms up at any sign of being sucked further into it. You wouldn't want to work for a company that was rife with corruption, accounts unaudited year after year, and a nasty tendency of sacking people who try to make it more efficient. Yet this is what the EU is beckoning us to do.

The "One Europe" idea is a noble one, but it's a victim of its own mismanagement.

You could apply to same logic to most countries though. I mean, how many Indians, Americans or Russians does anyone know personally?
