Calman speaks 2:55pm on 15 Jun 2009 It is disappointing to say the least that the unionist parties have asked Calman to look at all the options apart from breaking the union. We are heading that way, every time they offer a little step we move closer to it. If I were them the sooner the sooner a referendum was offered the better. Because the SNP doing a good job gives the nation more confidence, the demand from more power increases and finally the Scots just don't want a Tory government. When that happens I hope the speed towards separation will increase. That is my hope I just wonder if I will ever see an independent Scotland in my lifetime.
Duly elected 08:37am on 25 Jul 2008 Labour have forgotten about it's core values. It tries to be all things to all men by getting the middle England vote.....which is fine if you want power in the UK. The problem is that the policies that are good for middle England do not mean Hee-Haw to it's traditional core voters. ID cards being a prime example.....therefore the local promises of what we can do for you in East -Glasgow are not the general policies or priotities of the party. I think Labour would be better served if they were independent of UK labour. With the policies they have they cannot gaurantee the Scottish votes that got them elected to UK parliament.
Not ticking boxes 3:08pm on 11 Jun 2008 Would English viewers enjoy a scottish based media? I think not...... as some of the comments on the "have your say" page today illustrate. various coments today around " I don't care about what is happenign in Scotland" and persistant comments around "whinging Scots" are common on that page today, but what they seem unable to grasp is that most scots are interested in the UK issues, but it the complete irrelevance of some reporting that is the problem UK does not mean England. For example, the BBC continues to ask questions on "Have your say" on the NHS and it is all about the English and Welsh NHS as Health is a devolved matter.

As previous posters on this Blog have pointed out the FMQ's and PMQ's shows major discrepancies between the coverage.

GMS is the best broadcasting for Scots at the moment, but there is room for improvement on that too.

#48 you are correct about the archived blog...brilliant read and how prophetic was poster 30 (in the archived blog).....might not want to read poster 36 (in the archived blog) again though
Not just any referendum 8:48pm on 08 May 2008 If/when Wendy is fired....would a new labour leader in Scotland move the goalposts and withdraw the support of a referendum? Is this Labours only way out?
