A browser-free Windows 7 4:51pm on 25 Jun 2009 I'm a little tired of the EU's war against IE, the "browser wars" are going just fine without their intervention. Firefox is not exactly being crippled by Microsofts advantage, in fact they are going from strength to strength.

Oh, and as other people have said, an OS without a browser is stupid. They should go after the makers of Mac, and Ubuntu for bundling Firefox and Safari, except they won't because they are not popular enough.
Piracy: Did someone blink? 12:40pm on 15 Jun 2009 If the process for temporary suspension does not involve "network monitoring or interception of customer traffic" are they just taking the music industries word on complaints? If so this is a totally unacceptable state of affairs, my question would be is there any kind of appeal process for wrongly accused customers?
BT and the iPlayer 4:39pm on 10 Jun 2009 Paul is spot on with his car analogy, and BT is spouting complete rubbish. The ISP's have for far too long promoted their superfast broadband suitable for downloading and multimedia, and now they complain because people are actually using their connection, give me a break.
Apple's big day 09:42am on 09 Jun 2009 The only thing that peeked my interest was the new tethering feature in the iPhone update. Alas information from O2 has since crushed that with their "pricing"; 3GB for £14.68 extra per month or 10GB for £29.36.

I don't quite understand the reasoning for the double dip charging, particularly when other devices allow tethering using your standard tariff. We are being taken for a ride.
Xbox Live gets truly social 8:55pm on 01 Jun 2009 I have to say whatever your feelings are about the new technology it's kind of surprising you don't think it was even worth mentioning. If Microsoft get it right they might just have something that can compete on the same level as the Wii, particularly given the current price point of both consoles.

Having said that, you are spot on with the social network stuff. Microsoft for a long time has tended to keep their closed console locked up, only providing support for their services, so providing access to 3rd party social media really is an important change for them.
Why no Wire? 3:25pm on 01 Apr 2009 Just a quick note to say I completely agree with the first persons comments. Oh and saying scheduling complaints are "off topic" is a bit silly when the very reason people are complaining is because of the crummy scheduling making it hard to watch.

If you give a vaguely technically minded person five minutes with the concept it will be obvious to them there are serious (if not impossible) challenges faced by such a service.

A forum for fraudsters 6:32pm on 28 Aug 2008 I have to say I'm not totally surprised. What does put the internet into an even worse light on the internet as a tool for criminal activity is that it is more than likely sites such as EBay are used as easy clearing sites for the stolen merchandise.
