BBC HD on Freeview: rollout dates 6:52pm on 16 Nov 2009 Why is it going to take so long to roll out? Those of us in the south (but outside London) will miss out on the service for up to three years. No chance of a reduction in the license fee during that period I assume?
BBC Red Button Changes on Freeview 3:44pm on 20 Oct 2009 So in order to make way for services which will only be available in two regions everyone loses out? Additionally HD will presumably only be available where there is a very strong signal which is useless for the many people who can barely get current programmes.

What remains seems to be a fairly poor part of what was once available.
BBC iPlayer goes HD, adds higher quality streams, releases iPlayer Desktop out of Labs 8:14pm on 20 Apr 2009 A few comments:

Windows Media downloads don't seem to work from Google Chrome (this is an annoyance rather than a problem TBH)

Windows Media downloads only seem to be available for SD programmes and not HD. Any plans to allow for HD versions to be downloaded in Windows Media format for sharing across home networks to be watched on TV?
BBC News radar 10:58am on 06 Apr 2009 It is really useful but would be better if:

- The content fitted in a narrower window
- The header was smaller

It would be good to keep as a small window in the corner but at the moment it's too big for that. Maybe have a collapsible header.
London faces first Olympic test 10:17pm on 03 Oct 2008 It's hard to work out which city has the facilities to host the World Swimming Championships that London doesn't. None of the permanent pools in the UK are big enough for an event of this size and London has plenty of arenas where a temporary pool could be built in the same way that Manchester hosted the World Short Course this year.
BBC iPlayer on Nokia N96 mobile phone 11:30am on 08 Sep 2008 TV on mobiles won't ever become mainstream until you stop focussing on the latest individual devices and start looking at how to deliver something cross-platform.

The N96 will go away eventually, as will the iphone but there will always be mobiles around. What is the BBC doing to drive a standard across all platforms?
