No its really really not. You have something ridiculous like 50 first team players in your squad at the moment. Dont get me wrong this is including youngsters but still your squad and wage bill is huge.

Its not his big buys that are really the problem, more the tons of small buys like 2 mil for josemi, 2 mil for some argentine keeper who never gets played and countless others. They add up to a massive amount of wasted cash
Paying a heavy penalty 10:44am on 23 Dec 2009 "I could say the same about ferguson (tosic, hargeaves, berbatov, nani) and those come to a hell of alot more. Mourinho (Shevchenko, Pizarro, Sidwell, Ben Haim, Wright Phillips) and those sets of players cost a hell of alot more.

Compared to Degen, Voronin (both free) Babel, Keane, Dossenna, thats 5 million more combined then...shevchenko on his own. and 5 million more then nani and hargreaves.

Hold on unless im completely misenterpreting you didnt Babel cost around 11? Keane was what 20? Dossenna, Pennant, Insua etc... all cost a few mil each. Noones sayign Rafa spends more than anyone else but his buys on the whole are atrocious barring the huge buys that are guareenteed to do well. Hes had more than enough money and brought in more than enough players to be able to turn you into a force and he hasnt. The guys just useless in the transfer market and i dont blame the board for not giving him any more money, hell only waste it on half decent players anyway
Benitez faces biggest test 11:51am on 21 Oct 2009 I have never quite understood how Benitez gets away with no critizism from fans at all. People harp on about the yanks not letting the cash flow but Rafa has spent a massive amount of money on players and still got nowhere close to winnign the league. If Wenger had that kind of money (yes im a gooner) wed win it every year. Wenger has bought some flops but more often than not he strikes gold and has managed to keep a good team together whilst actually making money for the club. Rafa just spends and spends and then moans because one of his two top players are out. Heres an idea use all that money you get to buy players that are good enough to fill the gaps left by injuries rather than proven rubbish like Voronin

Possibly because football is in the media alot more? It happens in other sports. Main reason is that footballers generally have a bad rep which is entirely down to the media. So in all honesty its the media who cause the trouble. Those same outlets then cry about it wen trouble starts. Pot. Kettle. Black

Youre right that if you cant take it you dont give it. So Ade doesnt have a leg to stand on, not the fans. He started the whole thing with his actions while he was at the club and when he left the club. Arsenal fans showed him nothing but love until he declared that he was moving to Milan. Then when that fell through he demanded more money. So first game of the season he got some stick. That would have been the end of it but then he repeatedly kept saying how he wanted to move and couple that with lazy performance you can see why he is not exactly mr popular with the fans. He did an interview a day before that City game and did nothing but slate everyone involved with Arsenal. He gave it and shouldve been man enough to take it. He wasnt and decided to wind people up even more.
Are sportspeople right to retaliate? 1:42pm on 08 Oct 2009 Adebayor was abused blah blah. He wasnt abused, fans showed how little they think of him. There was no racism or anything like that so stop making out the guy was tortured for 90 mins. He acted very very poorly while he was at the club and has done nothing but slate arsenal, fans, players, managers et al since he left. Now i know the beeb will remove this as they always do but you only have to look at media clips to see what hes done. The guy is arrogant beyond belief. He deserved stick. You give it out (right before the game he was slating arsenal fans) then you should take it back. And no arsenal fans werent fickle. Did you see the reception Toure got in the same game? He was shown love because he is a nice guy who doesnt open his mouth every 5 mins. Kanu gets nothing but affection when he comes to the Emirates. Please please just get your facts straight

Into the back? It was to the side of Adebayor. Thats why he tripped over. A two footed challenge is only dangerous if you come in FROM THE FRONT OR BEHIND. Funny how no contact was made and the ball was taken if he was trying to injure isnt it? Funny how RVP was clearly guilty of a dangerous tackle but Ades was inconclusive. Had enough of this blog now because people are so one sided it is ridiculous. Well have the last laugh by getting top 4 while city get into the amazing europa league. Ill be the first to congratulate Adebayor on that triumpth

Well done, good comeback. So i take it from that comment that you are admitting you have no substance to your point at all and in all honesty would be better off chatting on a girls aloud fan forum with all the other 12 year old boys.

I cannot believe how one sided this whole 'Adebayor provocation' argument is. He started this from the very beginning. He was loved. Then he held the club to ransom and tried to engineer a move elsewhere because of money. Then when a move broke down he took the offer on the table and made out it was all hunkdory. The fans rightly gave him stick for a game. Then he proceeds to go through the mostions in every game and sulk because he didnt get his massive payrise or dream move elsewhere. So he has noone but himself to blame for getting stick. You wait till he comes to our place next year and youll see a reaction he wont like

As to the 'Stamp' well sory I don't think theres much of a charge to answer. VP sythed through him with a two footed lunge that should have got a red card. The view shown on MOTD makes it look awfull with Ade then stamping down on VP. But other angles show the contact with with VP's face occured as he slid through underneath Ade's studs at which point Ade looks down and stamps his foot down on green grass to make sure he doesn't make anymore contact with VP's head. I bet the FA don't see it that way though... "

What!? Scythed through him? It was a little two footed yes but it was to the side, at the ball, which he completely took. Have you seen the same incident as everyone else? Ade is stumbling AWAY from rvp and then for no reason flicks his right foot BACK toward rvp. There is no explaination for that AT ALL. If he wanted to balance himself his right foot wouldve followed the rest of his body weight, not the other way around, unless he iether wanted to risk snapping his ankle or HURT rvp.

Oh and i spose youre a regular at our place are you. You have no idea what you are talking about. When Ade was scoring and giving effort he go nothing but praise from the fans. He said so himself on a few occasions. Adebayor was the name sung more than any other, most of the time throughout the game. Whenever he put in effort last season he got cheered but for the most part he spent his time sulking because Barca didnt take up his offer to go join them. People turned on him because he kept banging on about how he wanted to move to abigger club in the hope hed have his wages doubled to keep him. It backfired so tough. Hell do exactly the same to you when he has a good season and a top club takes a look.

And financial needs!? Who needs 100k a week as opposed to 50k?
