Mac malware - were we wrong? 4:32pm on 08 Dec 2008 I've run Windows since v3.1, I have never installed any anti-virus software and not had a virus on any of my machines in the last 15 years.

Can someone tell me what am I doing wrong?
Meeting the meta-request 10:50am on 21 Sep 2008 I've finally been told that my complaint about Reading Borough Council will shortly (no definition given here) be assigned a case officer.

Perhaps I should count myself lucky... after all it is only 14 months since the complaint was filed and in the meantime I've been elected as a councillor!
Do they have a little list? 07:43am on 11 Jul 2008 Why should public bodies worry about collating data when responding to requests?

Simply respond with a partial data set so that technically it's not a breach to then send an email to officers (of which I have a copy) warning them to delete anything they don't want to reveal and finally sit back and look smug waiting for the Information Commissiner's Office to assign a case officer, if they ever do.

The Information Commissioner's Office is a toothless tiger. One year on from my complaint I've not even been assigned a case officer and the data I've requested will have been long deleted by now (as per the email I refer to above).

I'm thinking of sending them a birthday card next week.
'Sexed-up' evidence? 10:11am on 11 Jun 2008 #26. You are making some very poor assumptions about my background reading. I have read a fair amount on the issues amd it's the first time I've heard of any such unequivocal commitment from the Conservatives. I'm happy to stand corrected.
However it's a pretty poor state of affairs when believers in democracy have to rely on the undemocratic Lords to uphold people's rights.
'Sexed-up' evidence? 08:21am on 11 Jun 2008 There is much focus on the Labour rebels, but the whole idea would be dead in the water if opposition parties voiced a clear and principled opposition to a law which changes the balance between the state and its people.

I can't but help think that if the Tories were really set against this as a point of principle, they would simply state that they would repeal this law if they won the next General Election.

I have a feeling that they won't make such a promise because their stance is opportunistically political.
Update on MPs expenses and the High Court 3:29pm on 16 May 2008 I love the idea that the main reason MPs give for non-disclosure is that they don't want their addresses revealed.

A bit late for that... they should have thought about that before signing their publically available nomination papers complete with their home address.
