Congratulations on a great blog. it is really nice to see that you are still playing, you're a great professional. How did Friday's derby against United compare to Sunderland V Newcastle or the Celtic V Rangers games? I guess the intensity is just the same.
Looking forward to reading more of your blog, hopefully as you said about your next win.

Tell us your FA Cup Final stories 8:33pm on 13 May 2008 In 1973 Sunderland were in the semi's against the Gunners. In the pub before the game I stopped a couple of idiot Sunderland fans from bothering a few Arsenal fans. We talked afterwards and wished each other good luck, (even though I hate Arsenal) When we got to the final I could not get a ticket via the vouchers from the Roker Roar programs and I was in despair of missing the final. Eventually I lined up outside of Roker Park all night for a ticket, which I got. I got home at 10.00am there was a phone call form the very same Arsenal fan that I helped in Sheffield, offering me a ticket for the Cup Final. I was very touched by his generosity, but declined and thanked him. If he sees this, thanks again. It was of course the greatest moment in the modern history of any Sunderland supporter. We had a wonderful day at Wembley. My mate lost his glasses when Ian Porterfield drove home the winning goal into the Leeds net. Sunderland partied for a week and we are still singing “ey aye addio we won the cup”.
