That's fantastic news about subtitles.

A techie question asked by a non-techie... are the subtitles a seperate flash movie or are they superimposed over the non-subtitled movie?

I work for a charity (www.youthnet.org) and like many charities we want to add optional subtitles to our videos, but there doesn't seem a standard way of doing this. Is this some technology/knowhow the BBC would be prepared to share?

BBC TV on the web redefined 10:19pm on 16 Sep 2008 Hi Dan,

Looks really good - and a brilliant visual EPG: will the What's On page use the same idea of having pictures rather than just the name?

I don't know if this is your brief, but any chance you can fix the TV schedule on the homepage so that after 10pm (or earlier) it shows later TV programmes rather than the early evening schedule. Annoys me a bit that you can't instantly see what's on at 10.30 sometimes.

Do we all need a nudge? 5:01pm on 23 Jun 2008 My favourite form of nudging was the roadworks on the A421 between Cambridge and the A1.

They were doing roadworks and had the typical speed limits in place, and cameras to monitor people going too fast. But instead of simply flashing "Slow Down"; it put a sad face if you were driving too fast and a smiley face if you were driving at the correct speed. Praise for doing the correct thing as opposed to simply being being criticised for doing wrong.
