Miranda says good bye 08:19am on 15 Dec 2009 Ended up watching on iPlayer again, but I did just catch the bit in the BBC2 transmission where you were in the park and the camera angle made you look much shorter than Sarah. Very confusing until I saw the full episode! :-)

Please can we have another series?

PS you have a good chance of a gong at next years comedy awards, especially as the rival show 'Big Top' was dismissed as totally unfunny by Ted Robbins on his Radio Lancashire show last week.

I'm confused though.

Why does someone who's a sensible height and has your brains, talent and looks keep resorting to willy jokes? You're good enough that you don't need 'obvious' jokes to get a laugh.

Burnley high on emotion 08:20am on 20 Aug 2009 howdyneeber. I don't think Arsenal will be a scalp for Burnley this year. They learnt a lesson about taking weak teams to Burnley from last years cup matches. A lesson Man U haven't had.

You know, the driver who couldn't even tell that the car he SHOULD NOT PASS was slowing down, especially as that car could have been slowing because of an obstruction on the track!
The Battle of Broughton 00:04am on 04 Apr 2009 Thanks MKMiddleIncome, with your directions I was able to get the right Broughton on Microsoft Live Maps. Using the Birds Eye view you get some lovely closeups of the back gardens and all those conservatories that someone could break in through. Not sure when Birds Eye View went live round there, but round here it was about a year ago. Maybe that explains the robberies?

Oh, and is Mr Jacobs going to vet the owners of the new houses round there just in case some low income types who may be theives move in?
Want your home shown on the internet? 10:52pm on 20 Mar 2009 I must thank the One Show for helping us see that the BBC are doing their best to cut costs. What a pity it appears to be in the research department!

Not only have Google and Microsoft had sites for several years that show overhead images of properties at fairly high resolution ( Watch out sunbathing in the garden! ) but Microsoft Live Maps has a Birds Eye view that shows even more detailed images that can be rotated to show all parts of a property, including easy ways to break into it. At least Google Street View only shows the fronts of properties. Oh, and I don't think there's a way to get your house removed from Live Maps!

Firstly he dumps a load of scrap iron on mud flats in the Mersey estuary thereby adding to the workload of the local emergency services who have to deal with sightseers trapped by the rising tide or boats holed by hitting the things when the tide covers them.

Then he say Manchester council should be brave and not take down a structure that is so shoddily built that it's a danger to the public.

Now he's getting paid for a work of 'art' and getting others to do all the work for him!

This felt more like the captain of the Titanic saying "I'm sorry the iceberg was there" and less like "Sorry I steered the ship into the iceberg and promised you that it couldn't sink".

isn't quite right.

If the captain HAD steered the Titanic into the iceberg the opinion of most naval experts is that the ship would have survived or at least taken much longer to sink as only one or two compartments would have been affected. However, as he tried to avoid the iceberg. it ended up scraping down the ship and caused damage that allowed water into 5 or 6 compartments, dooming the ship.

One other thing. Why no mention of the other culprits in this?

I refer, of course, to the estate agents who fulled the boom by encouraging people to look upon houses as a short-term profit maker and not a long term investment. If they hadn't artificially inflated prices the banks wouldn't have lent so much and we wouldn't have so many people struggling to pay their debts!
