Woods image battered but not beyond repair 09:34am on 03 Dec 2009 I don't like the way people now appear to think that long-term cheating on your wife is not such a big deal anymore: "Everybody errs", etc. No, actually. Not everybody would dream of cheating on their wife. It was exactly the same with David Letterman, he just treated it as a joke, and the media just said "Good old Dave". There was absolutely no sympathy for his wife. Well, I feel dreadfully sorry for Tiger Woods's wife. Someone has to.
Haye just playing the game 4:37pm on 05 Nov 2009 If you actually read about Valuev he is a sensitive decent man who has had to put up with this cruel "freak" taunts all his life. Haye is just another stupid boxer in comparison who should know better. Let's hope he gets to eat his words.
Man Utd right to sell Ronaldo 12:26pm on 11 Jun 2009 I suspect United will suffer badly without him. I think next season was already looking like it was going to be a more competitive season with Chelsea finishing far stronger than United, and I think we will look back on this as a hammer blow for United. He was irreplacable and vitally important for this side. It's no coincidence that United's two recent Champions League finals coincided with Ronaldo's two best seasons.

Why do those with no talent feel so jealous of those who have?
Catastrophic system failure 09:37am on 30 Sep 2008 A lot of financiers and financial journalists (yourself included) have really lost the plot over this one. A few banks will go bust, a few businessmen will lose their jobs, then new banks will rise up to replace them. In the short run, it might be hard to get a loan. But in the long run all this will have a positive effect with banks being more prudent after having taken their medicine. The bail-out was a disastrous idea.

And in two years we'll have forgotten all about this.
Graphic images 10:43pm on 24 Sep 2008 Well done, you made the right decision. When I saw the video on ITV I instantly thought it was unnecessarily gratuitous. It added nothing to the story, and detracted from the crime.
Predictable gold medals 4:27pm on 12 Aug 2008 It sure ain't sport. It's an indoor pastime like tiddlywinks or darts.
