Not sure where u get your numbers from tbh. My father works for the ECDC, and his opinion is that the two best places to be in Europe, in terms of receiving a vaccination, are the UK and Sweden. UK has already bought and payed for virtual vaccines that simply need editing to be put into full scale production. Do u know how big a business drugs are? They can churn out lots more than 1mill a week. Its more of a distribution problem than anything else. However as yet there is no need for a vaccine, and the lack of info as to whether there is one definite strain of influenza.

How does the UK compare in terms of preparedness to other European countries? Also how has this virus killed people in Mexico yet only hospitalised 1 out of 8 in the USA (thus far).
Khan and Roach on the right road 12:42pm on 15 Mar 2009 I have to ask, and i am sure people will correct me, but if the cut that stops the fight is caused by a clash of heads does it go down as a win to Khan?? For some reason i remember Lewis beating Vladimir Klitschko and the Klitschko's camp claiming it was from the clash of heads and therefore not valid. If anyone could enlighten me that would be great.

As for the fight. Khan looked fast, his punches seemed a lot more powerful then in his last few fights. He also seemed able to take punches, something i wasn't sure he could.

You could have chosen these comments from the BBC match report, a Man Utd fan could complain for the same reason u have!

Inter Milan 0-0 Man Utd "Manchester United dominated for much of this lively Champions League last-16 clash but had to settle for a goalless draw with Inter Milan at the San Siro."

Depends which bit u pick out really. Articles will always have a variety of writing in them.
What did you think of the show? (23/02/2009) 09:47am on 24 Feb 2009 I thought he was pretty good, made me laugh a couple of times. Also he is doing it for charity and climbing a mountain that big isn't easy. If he isn't the normal guest for the show perhaps people who didn't like him before he went on air shouldn't have bothered watching or just thought well its for charity so its alright for 1 day.
Hugely respected, much admired... but loved? 12:50pm on 13 Jan 2009 Awesome batsman! I can't place it either Tom, always admired him but a combination of his attitude (not a bad one tbh), his country of birth (i am a englishman of Jamaican descent) and probably a bit of jealousy made me happy to see his wicket fall every time it did. His attitude is almost no different to that of KP's, i am a big fan of his, and many of the west indies quicks back in the day. Even Viv had a similar attitude. I suspect he is held in very high regard in Australia, but ever since his 380 (beating a west indians world record isn't good) i havn't really liked him. But that is the kind of irrational dislike sports fans are allowed. I would still have picked him as the best opener in the world for at least 13 out of the 17 seasons he played for. Very very good cricketer who's skill should not be underestimated. I suppose the true level of his ability should be measured by badly much opposition players and fans wanted him out (i never felt comfortable whilst he was at the wicket).

Who would make your team of the year? 1:18pm on 21 Dec 2008 Nice blog Adam. Big fan of your writing, always slightly different to everyone else's. Not sure about your team, maybe a bit batting heavy.
Would take out a batsman myself. Sanga is more than good enough to play at 6 with an all rounder at 7. With Shiv to manage the tail would be fine. :)

3.Amla (For the reasons above, lots of runs etc)
4.KP-Imagine him and Sehwag going together in a TM. Would be great fun to watch.
5. Shiv Chanderpaul-Would play a man u can't get out higher than 6 but can't put him in above any of the others. Imagine shiv playing without knowing that if he gets out his team will almost certainly lose!!
6. Kumar Sangakarra-One of the best batsman, i know he isn't always the keeper but if u want the best than he would have to.
7. Freddy Flintoff- Would bat him at 11 if it meant he could bowl! He really is that good!
8. Zaheer Khan- Amazing year with the ball, top quality bowler. No one knows why he is below the turbanator in the rankings??
9. Steyn- Close between him and Johnson, purely on recent form. But 69 wickets at a shade under 22 is hard to argue with.
10.Mendis- 26 wickets at 18 in only 3 matches?? Surely they were on a good old fashioned sticky wicket?? No? Then stick him in the team!
11.Murali-Still a genius, and a true great of the game. Love watching him, hardly any other players out there who get more excited.

Your choice has never been so difficult 1:44pm on 11 Nov 2008 Hmm difficult to choose this years awards.

Personality of the year: Would have to go for Chris Hoy, Awesome to get 3 golds.

Team of the Year: Has to be the cycling team. They have won so so many medals this year its unreal!

Coach of the Year: Maybe the cycling coach. Dave Brailsford. Not sure who else it could be, certainly not Bolts dance coach!

Overseas PERSONALITY: With personality being the key word has to go to Usain Bolt. Who else has the personality and the achievement (3 gold medals + 3 world records)??
