New sports, same concerns for Olympic family 10:56pm on 09 Oct 2009 If golf can get in, then snooker, darts and cricket should also be included. I don't like baseball much (at all), but they kicked that out when it's a lot more suited to the Olympics than golf ever will be.
A new day, a new wonder 11:51pm on 20 Aug 2009 I remember not all that long ago that to run 100 metres in less that 10 seconds was considered to be a fantastic achievement, now the World record is just over 9.5 seconds. This has got me wondering just how fast a human is destined to run. Will someone eventually run under 9 seconds, or is that just too much of a stretch?

Review of the week 4:56pm on 28 Jan 2009 ITV are surely the worst broadcasters in the Western world. I could not believe the amateurish coverage of the Portsmouth v Swansea game, or in the last round, the biggest shock of the day (Man. City V Forest) only got 90 seconds coverage in their highlights programme.
Mickey Mouse in Japan 8:52pm on 18 Dec 2008 The World Club Cup will always be a tin pot competition because it cannot be given the time or attention it would need to flourish. There are far too many other competitions and tournaments above the WCC, and the only way it would work properly is to have a World Cup style tournament, and that will not happen. As Robbo says, it's just a trade show.

Beckham gambling in Milan 6:57pm on 23 Oct 2008 David Beckham is still good enough to do a job for England. Not my opinion, but Fabio Capello's, I just happen to agree. If he's good enough for Capello to pick him, then he deserves to be there, and therefore deserves any caps he picks up.
