What's On BBC Red Button: 14th - 27th November 12:10pm on 25 Nov 2009 Brekkie - if we made it available by the Sport Multiscreen, it would have to be on Sky and Virgin Media versions of the Sport Multiscreen as well as the codebase is cross-platform and doesn't allow for a platform to go its own way. Not ideal by any means.
Hit the North 10:50am on 16 Nov 2009 Well I don't actually have a car so couldn't have driven anyway :) But besides, journey by car is four-five hours on a good day - train takes just over two. No contest!

There's no plans at this time to add the non-sport video onto Freesat in the same way that we do it on Freeview and Sky. We are only a small department and we have a lot of different competing demands on our team. That said, there is actually a lot of work going on on our Freesat service - iPlayer has obviously been announced, and there are some other projects working to enhance the Freesat service, which will be unveiled in due course.

BBC Red Button Changes on Freeview 12:09pm on 10 Nov 2009 dcwinter - whilst HD on Freeview will initially be in London and the North West (rather than just Manchester), it will be rolled out nationwide as digital switchover occurs across the country.

Sean - there was a suggestion that BBC HD be broadcast overnight in areas where digital switchover has not been completed, however that idea was not taken forward. Divis switches in 2012 so I'm afraid you'll have to wait until then to get BBC HD via Freeview. It is, of course, still available via cable and satellite.
Changes to this blog 12:00pm on 10 Nov 2009 It all worked quite nicely for me I have to say. Don't think they did anything special for BBC staff!

If anyone has any specific comments or problems on BBC iD it's probably worth adding a comment on this blog post at the BBC Internet Blog - that way it will get through to the right people quicker.
