How Mosley lost F1 power battle 11:56am on 25 Jun 2009 Jean Todt is the favourite granted but the hat I would like to see thrown in to the ring is Tony Purnell. He is one of the most respected forward thinking guys out there. He has good relationships with all parties and understands the need to see RACING not processions.

He is astute,innovative, dynamic and would be a great president of the FIA in IMO. He is already employed by FIA as a technical concultant working on developing technologies in F1 relevant to Road cars.

Will be glad to see the back of Mosley, whilst I respect what he has done to improve road safety etc, I have just had enough of his constant mishandling of F1.

Conspiracy or whatever you want to call it, I'm happy to take these guys as long as they keep Everton moving forward and if they come for undisclosed, free or just plain cheap then that will keep me happy.

But just to add to your conspiracy theory the next undisclosed utd player coming over is Owen Hargreaves............. you heard it here first!!
Moyes & Everton deserve glory 3:10pm on 20 Apr 2009 As an Everton supporter I don't feel Ferguson was disrespectful selecting the young team he did. Man Utd have done so throughout the tournament and have done so in years gone by. SAF knows what Everton are about, we played out a tough encounter at Old Trafford at the end of January and Utd won courtesy of a Ronaldo penalty. The team SAF put out that day showed that he takes Everton as seriously as any, the Man Utd squad that day was:

Van der Sar, Neville (Brown 56), Ferdinand, Vidic, O'Shea, Ronaldo, Carrick, Fletcher (Giggs 75), Park, Berbatov, Tevez.
Subs Not Used: Kuszczak, Welbeck, Fabio Da Silva, Gibson, Eckersley.

So yesterday says to me that Utd have played alot of football this season and needed to rest some players especially when there was the possibility of extra time on a heavy pitch to take in to account.

Ferguson gave youth it's head and they nearly pulled it off. Though whether Man utd would have scored the pen if it was given in normal time is up for debate after the farcical pens they had in the shoot out!!

All in all, Everton do deserve a final after some very strong showings and having already knocked out Liverpool, Villa, Boro along the way to show that it is on merit that we are now in the position to challenge for some silverware.

Hard luck on Utd yesterday but they have bigger days coming up which no doubt they want their strongest team fit, fresh and available for. And who knows maybe one of those youngsters from yesterday (Macheda, Gibson most likely) might just play himself into a major cup final squad this season and be in contention to score an important goal having had the opportunity to play in a big Wembley occasion beforehand.
Wallabies devour undercooked England 2:57pm on 16 Nov 2008 It seems to me that alot of people are forgetting Danny Cipriani is still coming back from a huge injury. Yes he is playing OK but after the time out he has had and the recovery he is still undergoing can we really expect him to be at the top of his game.

He is not in peak condition or form yet since he has come back and is still in my opinion a couple of months off his best.

I think he is best judged in the 6 nations rather than this autumn series and maybe they have just pushed him along too quickly with Wilkinson injured and Flood again in my opinion not up to test level at 10.

Flutey I thought made some good breaks and some decent tackles. He lacked a bit of support where if he had someone on his shoulder it could have been try time. He is avery talented but Noon isn't the foil for him. Lewsey might actually be the 13 answer!

Care is a talented lad too but is too lateral and puts pressure on Cipriani by drawing opposition back rows across to him.

I would like to see Kennedy back next week, Stevens starting at prop, Lipman, Haskell and maybe Croft has another chance as a back row with Haskell and Croft interchanging 8 and 6.
Your choice has never been so difficult 4:22pm on 11 Nov 2008 No mention of Victoria Pendleton..... hasn't she now won olympic gold in 2 different sports. Rowing and Cycling. Now that is a huge achievement. Some may have won more golds but in terms of true athletic achievement I think winning olympic gold in 2 different sports is pretty much up there with the best.
Thunder Bolt creates shockwaves 1:14pm on 17 Aug 2008 I was at the middlesex 7's in Twickenham and had a generous bunch that turned their TV out to the stadium from their corporate box so we could watch the race. Thank you very much to those guys. Unfortunately the over zealous stewards were their usual surly selves and hopped over the dividing wall and turned the TV round so we couldn't see the replay citing health and safety reasons as we had our back to the rugby. How ridiculous!
