How the Lions rated: second Test 5:31pm on 27 Jun 2009 Simon Shaw and Rob Kearney showed everybody - Scots, Irish, Welsh or English - what it means to be a Lion. Magnificent.

As for O'Gara - lucky to tour at all and probably wishes (like me) that he hadn't.
My Turkish Grand Prix moments 10:49am on 10 Jun 2009 Like so many others, I think the BBC's coverage of F1 this year is FAAAAAANTASTIC!!! Murray, your blog is a must-see part of that coverage and it's a pleasure to watch. So many viewers are coming back to F1 as the word gets round about the BBC's coverage, it's really enjoyable.

For my money, David Coulthard is the ace in the BBC pack so far.

I was interested in your comments that "...yet just a few thousand were here. Grandstands were covered over and there is a distinct lack of buzz about the place...It's the fifth year there's been a race here, and considering the likes of Montreal have lost their chance to host the F1 party it frustrates me that the Turkish fans haven't embraced the sport we love."

Just look at the average annual wage in Turkey, then look at the ticket prices, and do the math. Add the fact that there's no motor racing heritage, and it's no wonder that the stands are empty. F1 went to places like this for money, not for a fan-base.

It's a pity - the track is terrific and the country is nice.

If you happen to have a hot-line to George Burley - please, no more Miller/McFadden 'strike force'. It pains me to mention Kris Boyd, but how about him and Faddy, or him and Maloney?
