Troubled times for F1 grandees 11:07am on 18 Apr 2009 F1 wouldn't be the same without the politics and colourful personalities like Briatore. Much of the time it is the only thing that makes it interesting! Imagine if the whole thing was made up of dour teams like Ferrari and McLaren. We need smiling faces and outrageous statements.
What is the true cost of McLaren's mistake? 8:44pm on 05 Apr 2009 When Button was driving for Williams many years ago, I seem to remember that he went off the track while following safety car, just before the restart. Did all the others stop and wait for him? Were they penalised for passing? I can't remember.

If there is a big 'off' while there is a safety car period there can be little option but for cars to pass, can there?

Weren't there cars passing under safety car conditions today in Malaysia? Again I'm not sure, but there seemed to be a lot of cars spinning off the while the safety car was out, and shots of others passing them.

England exploit SA failings 11:08am on 30 Aug 2008 I must say that I had doubts about Pietersen's captaincy, but these doubts seem to be unfounded.

It has been quite amazing how his attitude and confidence seem to have rubbed off on the rest of the team.

Cricket's a modern game, and to be successful it seems that a modern approach is needed. It's sad to see the old days gone, but the 'British way' is no longer good enough to succeed in sport, as the Olympics have shown.

Let's hope for more of the same, and that the captaincy doesn't affect KP's form.
