If the survival of the club(s) is/are at stake, then history and rivalry shouldn't come into it.

If nothing else, ground-sharing will buy Everton time to hunt down a billionaire tycoon of their own and debate alternative locations for a new ground.

In the meantime, if both clubs pool their resources, it should at least ensure Liverpool's new ground doesn't just remain a set of architects' drawings.

Both sets of fans should start looking at the big picture - the economic realities of the situation have to take precedence over the fans' wishes...at least for the time being.

I think if Everton really are that hard up and there are no other solutions in their price range, the only logical solution is to share Liverpool's new stadium.

It seems the effects of the credit crunch are still lingering in the footballing world (at least for the majority of clubs who don't have the luxury of billionaire owners).

In the short term (next 5-10 years at least) this could be a life saver for Everton, allowing them to play in a huge new stadium and hopefully attracting more fans, without putting themselves into debt, which would take many years to pay off. It would also buy time for the club to look for wealthy investors and search out alternative locations for a stadium of their own.

Granted they would have to pay LFC for the privilege, but it would seem to me to be a small price, well worth paying.

Evertonians need to start thinking with their heads instead of their hearts. Forget history, heritage and rivalries. The future of your club could be at stake!

I too am getting increasingly bored and annoyed with his childish rantings. He makes Rafa Benitez look positively serene by comparison.

As someone already pointed out, its funny how he never has a problem with the match officials, as long as his side are winning.

His seriously bad attitude is the one reason I could never respect him, no matter how many trophies he's won.

As Benson's "inside source" at Bran said, its incredible because the same bunch of guys that designed last season's dog of a Honda, were responsible for this year's BGP001.

Ross's skills are in organisation and man-management (and probably race strategy too). Thats what made the difference.

Nit-picking over. Congrats to Jenson, Ross, everyone in the team and those who were unlucky enough to be let go when they were forced to downsize. You all made it happen and all deserve a share of the glory.

By the way, to those people bleating about van Persie's attempted tackle on Adebayor, I feel I should point out a couple of things. First, he missed (or at least Ade stayed on his feet) and second, a two-footed tackle might result in leg or knee damage that would result in a few weeks or months out injured. Kicking someone in the head can have far worse consequences!

Maybe Robbo was remiss in not giving Arsenal's hooligan contingent some stick in his article, to balance out his comments about Adebayor. There is no excuse, ever for that kind of behaviour. Still, maybe he felt it was painfully obvious and decided to concentrate on Emmanuel's folly instead.

The man is a thug as well as a prima donna (odd combination) and should be banned for the maximum number of games possible for that idiotic and potentially very dangerous attack.

Couldn't really care less about him running up the other end of the pitch to celebrate his goal. He obviously did it with the sole intent of winding up the Arsenal fans. They should have had more sense than to rise to the bait, or at least restricted their response to unkind chants. I hope the idiot(s) responsible for injuring the steward are banned from all football grounds for life.

Um...wrong. That is precisely what makes something worthwhile. Thats why BB somehow managed to keep going for 10 years.

I don't like soap operas, R&B or ballet, but you won't catch me saying they should be done away with. Why? Because lots of other people DO like them.

So...the Anti Robbo League is growing, now boasting an impressive 3 members (JDR, Red and Andre). Wonder if they can get into double figures by the end of the year?
Fifa's global ambitions 3:51pm on 26 Aug 2009 Well, getting children into education is obviously a laudable goal, but for many (particularly in Africa, where 1Goal will evidently be heavily promoted) simple survival is more of an immediate priority.

There is also the old question of management - at both ends of the money stream.

Will FIFA be able to work effectively with a group of smaller organisations, as they apparently intend to, or will their education crusade end up getting lost among the myriad agendas of their partners?

Also, how will the money be managed at the sharp end? Will it be given directly to the charities responsible for building schools, providing learning materials, recruiting teachers or whatever it is they are aiming to do?

If its given to the governments of the countries they are operating in, there is a fair chance it will simply go to swell their coffers. The UN has already discovered that corruption is rife among a number of African governments and that any aid they send, be it material or monetary, simply "disappears".

I hope FIFA, Queen Rania and the others succeed, but I have my doubts.
