Comeback kings conquer the world 7:43pm on 21 Jun 2009 Congratulations to Pakistan. They proved the dangers of peaking too early which befell both South Africa and Sri Lanka. And as for England's women, they really showed our men the way, especially in their superb run-chase against Australia.

All in all, the success of both tournaments clearly shows that 50 over cricket needs to come up with some innovations of its own if it is survive.

Sure he is an exceptional fielder, but he offers little else at T20 level. I'd give him a 5 at best. I'd also give 2 to the England selectors for not even trying Napier, sure he might not be international class, but he can't be any worse than Wright, who seems to continually fail - and he's a better bowler too.

My worry is still in the wicketkeeping department. Yes, Prior is performing superbly in the batting department, but if he misses a catch, like the one he didn't go for, and Ponting goes on to score a big hundred, then that negates that contribution completely. ALong with that, he also dropped at least a couple of balls straight through from the bowler, which if they had been edges...
