cos that's how we think of you "dear old Terry" - a friend chatting about the silliness and absurdities of life, interspersed with music.
A friend we are going to miss very much (Cripes that sounds like you've died!)

The other day, looking through an old recipe book of my mum's, I found a note I'd written her when I was about 18 or 19 (some 30 years ago!) referring to your good self and the sainted JY being on the Parkinson show. Which shows how long ago I was indoctrinated into the Gospel according to Tel.
In the same way you've inveigled yourself into my 18 year old daughter's listening.
Generations will miss you in the morning, the endless commute to work will not be the same without the corpsing that accompanied Janet & John.
When do you begin your Sunday show? Should we start sending food parcels now?

Filming ptarmigan in the Cairngorms 5:19pm on 25 Nov 2009 Poor Gordon, you did look frozen, and putting up the tent was funny to watch from my warm living room! Schadenfreude I'm afraid, but you got some good shots for us to see, and those beautiful and wonderfully adapted creatures at the top of the Cairngorms are only likely to be seen by someone like me in films such as yours, so thank you.

Filming geese on the Solway Firth 6:54pm on 17 Oct 2009 The ancient belief that the Barnacle Goose hatched from a Goose Barnacle also allowed the Catholic Church to allow it to be eaten on Fridays, in Lent and on Holy Days - when usually only fish was allowed - because it was believed to come from a barnacle they said it counted as fish! (apparently so did Herons although not quite sure where the fish connection came in there...)

Interesting about the Risso's dolphin, wonder if it was lonely or just very brave? Or maybe it knew the orcas were full of mackerel.

High seas diary: Part three 10:49pm on 12 Oct 2009 It wasn't a wood pigeon, it was a cunningly disguised remote controlled camera that was actually spying on you on behalf of the BBC licence payers to check that you weren't just having fun there instead of searching for orcas!

Hope the sea legs (both physical and tablet kind) are holding up.
