Uruguay face tactical dilemma 11:30pm on 08 Oct 2009 Tim-Do you think that Paraguay may do Venezuela a favour? They have qualified.Chavez supplies the new left wing goverment of Paraguay with 27000 barrels of cheap oil a day which accounts for 85% of their needs.Is it pay back time this weekend?AND although it is unlikely on wednesday almost as unlikely as Bolivia when they beat Argentina 6-1 I cannot see Brazil crying too much if either Argentina or Uruguay were knocked out of the World Cup by Venezuela qualifying.Brazil and Venezuela are also on very good economic terms now.So Venezuela could qualify with" a little help from their fiends"
Brilliant Barcelona outclass Man Utd 08:44am on 28 May 2009 I actualy dont think that Barcelona were that brilliant.They played well,it was just the fact that United were poor.United won the Premiership this season ,by beating everybody OTHER than the other top clubs by their attacking football.Of late some of their frailities have been shown up in defence and with a combination of some flair,helpful referees and a bit of luck, these discrepancies have been masked.Last night we saw that what happened against Villa and Spurs and even Wigan came to its natural conclusion against Barcelona.All three ,but most important the flair was not to be found. In particular I thought Carrick had a terrible game,but he was not far worse than most of the team.A Barcelona team really on song could of absolutely destroyed United last night.The league table does not lie and Manchester United won the Premiership, but by the last few weeks of the season without doubt both Liverpool and Chelsea were better sides.
Cech gives Chelsea final hope 6:16pm on 29 Apr 2009 I reckon that if Cech can hoof the ball down the field about 20 times at Stamford Bridge like he did at the Nou Camp because Chelsea were incapable of playing football out of defence that should take up at least 30 minuites .Then Chelsea can back pass to him maybe another 20 times.Its a shame they have changed the rules that the goalkeeper cant pick it up.Anyway maybe with stoppages,thrown ins etc Chelsea can use up another 30 minuites. Yes I think its possible for Chelsea to get to penalties after 120 minuites. For the next seven days practice taking penalties.You will then have a great chance of reaching the final.I once saw a game between a Premiership Team and I think it was Long John Silvers XI where the one pegged team held out for 90 minuites and got a replay on Treasure Island. Terrific 0-0 yesterday Chelsea.
Weightlifting doubts appear early 5:41pm on 13 Aug 2008 I heard one of the commentators say that in the syncronized diving this morning that one of the performances was RUBBISH. I would not think in this event that drugs would enhance the performance of the competitors. I would sooner hear the commentator say RUBBISH as some Chines e weightlifter breaks the world record by 30 kilograms. So the only nation in the world that can produce new world record holders in this EVENT are the Chinese?The country that invented FIREWORKS have to cheat on this. Ashamed to present a little girl with the voice of an angel but whose teeth are not quite right,so they fake it.RUBBISH ? This commentator on the diving should be ashamed of himself at least he is covering an "honest" sport.As for your weightlifting commentators,naivety is just being kind to them.
