Brilliant Barcelona outclass Man Utd 08:58am on 28 May 2009 Spot on post 28. Barcelona were the best team on the night, and if things had happened differently in the first ten minutes then it could have been a completely different story, but as they say, "That's Football"
Moral panic? 4:34pm on 16 Jul 2008 @dotconnect, it seems we have the same division on the BBC website as you suggest in the printed press. I have become completely disillusioned with the tabloid ranting on Have Your Say which appears to attract the masses, and have recently found the hidden away attraction of the BBC blogs.

The opinions and discussions expressed by the bloggers and comment makers seem to be far more considered and calm, leading to some reasoned debate.

It would be nice if the BBC featured the blogs on the front page more than Have Your Say.
Sceptical of knife epidemic 12:49pm on 08 Jul 2008 @13, I never said there wasn't a problem. I do believe there is a problem with behaviour generally in our society not just young people.

My point was that the media over hypes everything which does not lead to sensible debate and meaningful actions, but does lead to a distorted perception, panic and knee-jerk reactions.

For your information I actually agree with the second part of your post.
Sceptical of knife epidemic 8:31pm on 07 Jul 2008 Yes, excellent, considered, and absolutely no hype. The complete opposite of the reporting we seem to get from the media these days. I am convinced that a lot of the problems in Britain today are due to the sensationalist reports that we see daily on the tv and in the newspapers. Peoples perceptions are being effected by the daily bombardment of doom and gloom and irresponsible reporting.
