Thanks for your comments about featuring more sport during the show. It is really difficult because of the time constraints we're under. We do have to feature all 10 contenders fairly during the show as well as looking back at the big sporting events. We are currently looking at ideas, however, to enable us to feature more highlights of the sporting year on demand in the build-up to and after the show.

It's something we're working on at the moment and hopefully we'll announce more details later in the year.

"We'll be announcing full ticket details in September/October once the TV set designs have been finalised and we know the capacity. Those details will appear on the BBC Sport website."

Top three face crucial tests 3:57pm on 09 Jan 2009 Just want to field a couple of blog housekeeping queries above for Phil.

shmeichelknight (comment 35) - It's a fair question. Most of our blogs are reactively moderated but a few are not. In the case of Phil's blog, he writes about the biggest issues in football. Often these are emotive topics for fans and in our experience, deabtes can quickly get derailed. That's why we choose to monitor them as we go along - to make sure they stay on topic and within the house rules.

whatbill (comment 85) - The moderation team never goes on lunch! But seriously, they work as fast as they can to moderate comments on sport blogs and 606. When things are particularly busy (Friday afternoons for example), there may be a delay. Apologies for that.
Hatton next on Pac Man's menu? 8:07pm on 08 Dec 2008 coxy0001 - I'll be right behind Ricky, don't worry about that. And of course he'd have a good chance against Pacman. Cards on the table, I'd tip Manny if forced to bet today, but that could change. And even if it doesn't, my heart says Ricky. I'm just excited that all of these possibilities are out there.

I like De la Hoya but I didn't want him to win at the weekend. It's much more interesting like this.
Hatton next on Pac Man's menu? 7:01pm on 08 Dec 2008 I reckon if Pacman v Hatton happens (please let it be so), Floyd will be waiting for the winner. Especially if the winner is Pacman because the Filipino would by then be a serious threat to him as fighter of the noughties. I don't think Floyd's pride would allow him to stay away.

We could be in for a cracking 2009 at welter/light welter. Who wins Manny v Floyd Dirsy. Got to be Floyd right?
Interruption to service 10:46am on 24 Oct 2008 Jordan D - I can confirm that we will be launching an F1 blog next year. Our main writer will be Andrew Benson but there are likely to be other contributors.

kwiniaskagolfer - Indeed and thanks for rallying behind LSU. I'm not that confident this year. We'll need to beat Georgia, Bama and avenge Florida to get to the title game. That's tough, tough, tough.

James-Orient - With very few exceptions (Gavin Strachan etc) you need to be BBC staff to write on our blogs (anyone can comment obviously). If you want to start your own debates, you are more than welcome to do so on our 606 website:

oke2008 - There are no current plans to have a dedicated American Football blog, but our NFL experts Tim Love and Martin Gough will continue to debate on 606 (see link above).

And thanks for all the comments. It's clear that there is lots of interest in our blogs - how they work, what is coming up etc. and I'm very happy to answer your questions.

I already run a feedback thread on 606 (http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A41681937) and will look to do the same for blogs on my blog when I get back from leave in a few weeks.

Then we can have these conversations away from Alex Gubbay's blog!

Interruption to service 1:11pm on 23 Oct 2008 At the risk of hijacking Alex G's blog, yes there is a chance but no firm plans are in place at this stage. Not ruling it out though.
Interruption to service 12:06pm on 23 Oct 2008 SaintStatto - I'll answer that one. To an extent, content on the SEB is seasonal and certainly dependent on what events are coming up. But I accept that it's been a quiet spell - apologies for that.

The good news is that we do have a range of blogs pencilled in for the coming weeks, including a Roger Mosey blog on the NFL game at Wembley, which is being prepared as I write.

So keep watching this space.
After the Summer of Sport, the autumn Inside... 5:09pm on 17 Oct 2008 This just in from Amanda (bit of a log-in mix up at our end):

Thanks for your e mails about which sport you would like to see on the 2016 Olympics. The biggest number went for Rugby Sevens, with a decent number for Squash and Golf. The discussion in the studio revolved around the a) do we want another big sport that's really professional ( like Tennis already is) or a completely amateur one like inline speed skating? Lots of commentators often say we should have amateur sports as they are more in keeping with the Olympic Spirit - I'm not sure I agree with that.
