Over to you, Foreign Secretary 5:43pm on 30 Oct 2009 I think this just confirms that both David Miliband and Denis MacShane are poor, insecure lightweights with nothing better to say or do. Do they realise how stupid they look (and you too Nick...following the desperate Guardian line trying to keep this story going) trying to bring Miliband's Jewish roots into the equation, as you and others constantly do, just makes hime look worse!

Fluff...he's a different nationality, so although they may be politically similar those politics have different effects and even sometimes different meanings in different countries, I thought you may have been aware of that.

Welcome to the 5 live blog 2:25pm on 26 Sep 2009 Hmmm...bit like the 606 changes...instead of thousands of posters for every club (albiet some with very few!) the debate is what you decide it should be...i.e. no debate at all. Would anyone be brave enough to mention how the participation dropped after those changes? I would bet AT LEAST 80%. The same will happen now with the News boards, participation will fall like a stone because there is no "real" participation. A bad move...

Clearly demonstrating his complete loss of a grip on reality. Also, can we call those that will be getting less or taxed more "those that lose out" or something similar? To call them "Losers" sounds so belittling in 'modern' parlance and as has been said there is only one "loser" in this equation, Brown...again.
Has the bonfire gone out? 4:39pm on 06 Jul 2009 You should listen to what Cameron actually said (on the BBC this morning!): it is clear he has no intention of a clean sweep of Quangos, he said loud and clear that some are essential; others not so and they will go...

Maybe he should have a REAL bonfire in the original sense...a BONEfire, of New Labours dead and dry bones and to ward off their evil spirits!

Many don't like him because he took his own line on many things and not the party line; this isn't - and shouldn't be - a major problem; he was a bit of a Blairite (as were a majority of the electorate at least for a short time) but much more importantly he isn't a Brownite.

Unless you name that Tory nobody will (or should) believe you. I do not think for a nanosecond that ANY Tory, leading or otherwise, would have said what you "quote".

Just in case it's not clear: I think you've made that anecdote up.
