England v Australia Fourth Test player ratings 2:53pm on 09 Aug 2009 More or less spot on Tom! Rauf's faux pas with Bopara's second innings wicket yesterday does, however, make it easier for the selectors to drop him. Rob Key needs to come in at the Oval.
"Get On" and support new campaign 09:51am on 13 Feb 2009 We've had a couple of good 'uns at Stevenage in our time. One that springs to mind:

But he did leave us.

Should there be a winter break? 12:43pm on 08 Jan 2009 While I can appreciate that some fans, and indeed players, do occasionally get caught out by short-notice postponements at this time of year, I do not believe that a winter break is necessary for the lower leagues.

As a Stevenage Borough fan, the club was able to complete all our scheduled fixtures over the Christmas period. If we are to encounter any fixture issues this season, it is more likely be due to cup commitments rather than the weather.

Who'd make your Ashes starting XI? 09:24am on 23 Dec 2008 Panesar is far more at home in England than abroad, so I'd back him (just) for next summer.

I'd also get Crafty Crofty back for the 1st Test seeing as he knows the Cardiff track inside out, so he will surely take a guaranteed 10-fer in the first innings as the Aussies are made to look laughably rubbish, collapsing to 55 all out.
English eyes smile for Swann 00:35am on 14 Dec 2008 Given his economy and tendancy to bowl long-hops, I'm still unconvinced about Graeme Swann.

But give him his dues, he's done what's been asked of him and now he has a fantastic opportunity to impress himself on the selection, particularly for the sub-continent fixtures.
Ramos facing Titanic struggle 12:56pm on 06 Oct 2008 From my point of view, if Commolli isn't the first out of the door at White Hart Lane if there are to be any personnel changes, then there is little hope.

This is, essentially, the man tasked with making sure someone was ready to come in on deadline day to facilitate the Berbatov deal. Instead of putting up an extra £1-2m for Arshavin (who could have made Pavyluchenko settle in a lot easier), he was reported to have waddled around trying to get Heskey and Ashton with scattergun bids, and then had to fall back on Frazier Campbell.

I wasn't happy to see Martin Jol go, but if Spurs do sack Ramos within the next month, the club may as well go on the road with Newcastle United as part of some warped travelling circus.
Kevin Howells' team of the season 1:25pm on 26 Sep 2008 Perhaps not altogether deserving as being in the 'team of the season', but Adam Shantry has been superb for Glamorgan this season, regularly taking wickets.

If only the likes of Mark Wallace could have translated one-day form into the four-day format, it may have been a bit more successful for Glamorgan.
