Two labour markets 6:25pm on 15 Jul 2009 I believe both the unemployment figures and the claimant count are underestimated and that those trying to claim employment support allowance are equally underestimated.

My reasons are simple, personal experience and that of people I speak to, tends to suggest that the DOE are making strenuous efforts to make sure that as few people as possible are eligible, and those that are will be put off by the difficulty in claiming a pittance.

Even more importantly what about the regions in these countries?

I use the BBC as my homepage and read content every day but admit to being disappointed in the content for Scotland or the lack of it!
