What really happened 7:17pm on 19 Jun 2009 Amongst all the coverage and especially the comment, I've found one thing very hard to track down: The full text of Ayatollah Khamenei's speech on the Iranian election. Not just at the BBC News, admittedly, but across the internet news in general.
Surely the undigested, unprocessed, uncommented-upon information is a basic part of the news. To help a few of us cross-check on those abstracting and commenting, at least? Otherwise how do we know we are getting fair summaries? Or know what is *not* being commented on?

Dum, dum dee dum dum...
Is the way you dance written in your DNA? 1:01pm on 21 Oct 2008 I have trouble even comprehending dance.
Coerced onto the dance floor on occasion, when younger, I attracted a comment from an expert:
"You dance like a chieftain tank with one track missing."
A tank development engineering expert, not an dance expert...
Given my social life, I could well put a datum on attractiveness and dancing ability fairly well out on the graph!

Four years ago, aged 48, I got a very late diagnosis of Asperger's syndrome.
Interestingly, there is at least a suggested correlation between the incidence of autistic-spectrum conditions, low EQ scores (loosely, poor social connectivity and empathy) and low foetal testoterone.

Nothing I'd done, or that all 200+ of us had done.
We'd attempted to march, as a protest, to what would be our nearest post office should the closure of our local one at Altarnun be carried out.

But the police felt that crossing the busy dual-carriageway A30 was too dangerous to allow.
Thanks due to them, but none to the Post Office, who would have us risk our lives, or burn petrol by the ton (as a village, per year) in order to save them a small (undisclosed) sum.
This in the rain and the wind, on what was otherwise very much an indoors sort of day.
From the edge of a wet Bodmin Moor...
