England cannot replace Rooney 3:03pm on 14 Oct 2009 #16 - However (and I do hope I am proved wrong) Rooney has never produced on the big stage (with acception to a great euro 2004).

This is genius, he has never produced on the big stage except that time when he did... He's "produced" (in your words) in 1 of the 2 major international tournaments he's played in, and been our top scorer and best player in these past qualifiers.

And i agree with Phil that without Rooney we won't win the World Cup. But even with him we won't win the World Cup with a defence that includes Rio Forgetdinand, David James and the most over-rated footballer I've seen in a long time, John Terry. Him being our captain almost makes me want England to not win the World Cup. Almost...
Another song to Singapore 10:49am on 05 Aug 2009 Rock concert? That line up is about as "rock" as lettuce... Who came up with that line-up? Are these the only 5 bands available that day or something? An irritating warbler, 2 very average pop acts and 2 bands that were all the rage in 1984... If this was a proper rock concert there would at least be Motorhead on the bill!!!

Federer may only have to beat 7 players to Woods 120 as someone says, but none of those 120 players have any direct influence on the shot Woods hits, none of them can force a mistake. Tournament Golf is basically a game you play against your own head and the course, not other people...

Review of the week 4:12pm on 26 Jun 2009 Why is it BBC journalists always say "but it will come in quite handy next time I play Scrabble" every time an Eastern European with a Z in his name is mentioned? Not only is it lazy and boring, but according to the rules of Scrabble you wouldn't get any points for it because people's names aren't allowed...

Your current location is a 30 minute train ride from Chester, not that far for a supposedly committed fan! Just admit to yourself that you're a glory hunter like all your mates who you've accused.
