Enter the champions 3:50pm on 10 Nov 2009 Good blog. The Saints look fearsome but you have to question how often they can come back from behind. It's onething coming from 10+ points down in the regular season, but if you're in that hole in the play-offs it's a whole lot harder. The Colts seem to have fairly quietly moved to 8-0 but they are proven at the business end of the season.

the Steelers however are improving as the weeks go by, which is really where you want to be. You can afford to lose a few games near the start of the season as long as you're in tune come the play-offs, and that's what looks to be happenin.
Ruthless Belichick's approach pays dividends in New England 10:24am on 23 Oct 2009 I became a bills fan in the early '90s after playing as them in the computer game TV Sports Football. the first four years I supported them they went to the Superbowl and I thought I'd have a long and happy life with them. Oh how things change. I feel very much able to follow other teams though, and have soft spots for the Saints and Steelers. the latter because I always loved Bill Cowher, there is not a greater gurn in football than his angry face, the former for no particular reason. The liking for the Saints was cemented by last year's game.

As a Bills fan it's easy to know who to support for this year's game! I don't expect to be backing the winning team though.

Time running out in New Orleans for Reggie Bush 08:55am on 18 Sep 2009 I'm with Hank on this, Bush is best used as a form of utility back. Flare him out as a get-out for Brees and it'll isolate him with a defender more often which'll allow him to use his athleticism. He's definitely not an every-down back who'll graft for yards, so they're right not to play him that way, but flares, screens, and two-back formations give plenty of scope to make him a decent weapon.

I also like the way that draft picks are labelled a Star or Bust. Where's the 'useful when used correctly' option? The 'has crafted a decent living for himself and scored a reasonable number of touchdowns' choice?

I've been reading your blog from the start and it's getting better and better. taking a relatively in-depth look at a general topic and giving an insiders view allows us to learn more about the day-to-day life of a footballer, so it's an interesting read.

Is it safe to Explore? 3:18pm on 16 Dec 2008 the problem is that most people don;t know there are other browsers. For them, IE IS the internet. and I'm talking about relatively internet friendly people who use Facebook and hotmail etc, the bread-and-butter internet users. they're also the people least likely to read about this security problem, or indeed understand it applies to them.

Like a lot of people in IT I have taken every opportunity to convert people to Firefox as it's the most friendly alternative in my opinion. When I first suggest it few have heard of it, but no-one has yet complained. I stress its security, add-ons potential, and, most importantly, the fact that it has a much cooler name.

You Are The Ref #1 2:22pm on 03 Jun 2008 Stop the play as the ball is cleared by the team with the offending player. Allow a physio on to tend to the injured player, and send off the one who committed the foul.

It is at the ref's discretion to stop the game whenever he sees fit.
