Decision day looms for Donington 7:31pm on 28 Apr 2009 @joebobf1: Donington's a much more interesting and exciting track for the spectator, as it's bowl-like layout means you can see most of the track from many points, unlike the flat and windy aerodrome at Silverstone. But that isn't what this post is about - and, as much as I hate to admit it, I can hardly see the Donington plan pulling through as the legal issues pile up. It's a real shame.

I do, however, think Bernie will grant a reprieve: he's done so many times before, so why not now? Unless another Mid-East country is really keen on hosting a bland, undersupported procession that is.
Missing memory amnesty 11:02pm on 16 Sep 2008 Why do local government and government institutions allow their staff to save sensitive data on any form of removable drive, be it USB sticks, CDs, DVDs, external hard drives or any other (obsolete, yet still used) media.

I find it baffling also how the media pile blame onto the Westminster government for the poor operating practise of local councils or private, third party contractors. We cannot blame Gordon Brown for this (however much we may want to).

Olympic overdose? 5:20pm on 08 Aug 2008 The overdose of the Olympics is obscene. Today the coverage was not only on BBC One, but also on the BBC News Channel and on Freeview 301, the interactive channel.

Why does th BBC feel the need to show the same event on three separate channels when they themselves have said they struggle to fit their programming into existing Freeview bandwidth?

Would 301 not have been put to better use with the excellent TMS video scorecard, and why should BBC News not be covering the Ossetia situation fully, rather than squashed into headline bulletins and - worst of all - covered in detail, but only on half of the screen (the other half was showing the Olympics).

This is not the first time the BBC have devoted airtime like this - it was the same with Wimbledon.

Does the BBC listen to its license-fee payers? Does it hell as like!
New ways into blogs 4:58pm on 17 Apr 2008 Glad to hear that its been nicely integrated. I've just tried it out (obviously) and it was nice and easy for me to log-in using my existing 606 credentials.

I just hope that this will be the first step to creating a real 'customised' BBC homepage, that will rely on logging in (as in iGoogle) rather than cookies - as the Beeb does currently.
