We've moved.... 7:38pm on 02 Sep 2009 A recent story blamed the U.S. for a sharp increase in pornography in Africa, leading to increased rates of HIV-Aids. One example cited was that some villages allow outdoor screens to be set up to show U.S.-made pornographic films.
My reaction was one of a boiling anger. As an American, must I now bear responsibility for this, too! Where is the responsibility of the local leaders who allowed this showing of pornographic films in their village!! Please do not contribute to the utter irresponsibility of this approach. I put my foot down at the idea of my being at fault in this matter, and wish that your journalist did as well.
