I Mark... your homework 2:23pm on 09 Dec 2009 Personally, I have a problem with any movie poster stating "Comedy of the year", "Must see action /horror/thriller of the year" (delete as applicable) and so on, especially those released in January...
Screening Room: Animation & Aardman 1:32pm on 20 Nov 2009 Personally, I love any of Peter Firmin's work, from Pogle's wood to Noggin the Nog.

More recently, one of my favorites is "The mysterious geographic explorations of Jaspar Morello", a sort of steam-punk shadow play.
Loving Sandra Bullock 12:54pm on 26 Jul 2009 Petegiggles called Sandra the "poor man's Julianne Moore".

I think Julianne is one of the finest actresses in Hollywood, for dramatic roles. Her rom-coms are pretty dire, however. "Trust the man", "Laws of attraction", even "Evolution" (which is supposed to be a comedy, I believe) are all pretty dire.

Maybe the problem is not Sandra or Julianne, just that there is no-one in Hollywood capable of writing a modern romantic comedy.
Moon Movies 1:45pm on 20 Jul 2009 While checking the performance times on the Odeon site for Moon, I had a glance at the review:

"If you liked Transformers and Star Trek, youll love Moon. "

Oh,dear...

PS: "Solaris" is a beautiful film, but "Stalker" is even better.
